Various safety systems for power tools, and in particular table saws include detection systems for detecting a dangerous condition relative to a blade of the power tool, reaction systems for taking mitigation action in response to detection of a dangerous condition. The safety system may detect, prevent, and/or mitigate a dangerous condition associated with the power tool.

Various safety systems for power tools, and in particular table saws, include detection systems for detecting a dangerous condition relative to a blade of the power tool, and reaction systems for taking mitigation action in response to detection of a dangerous condition. The safety system may detect, prevent, and/or mitigate a dangerous condition associated with the power tool.

Safety mechanisms for power tools

An air activated toilet flush system, including: a toilet bowl; a reservoir; a fluid conduit between the reservoir and the toilet bowl; a system for supplying water into the reservoir; and a system for supplying air into the reservoir, wherein a supply of air into the reservoir causes fluid to flow from the reservoir through the fluid conduit and into the toilet bowl.

Air pressure activated toilet flushing system

An extendable edge reference tool is disclosed. A first segment having a extending end and a receptacle end is provided. The receptacle end includes a coupling mechanism for joining a second segment using an over-center locking force to secure said second segment to said first segment. This tool provides for a useful continuous reference edge over extended distances through adjoining segments. Each segment is suitably compact to be easy stowed. The segments are useful individually. The segments can be joined to extend tool to lengths useful in common construction tasks.

Extendable edge reference tool

A leak detector is disclosed. The optical leak detector may include a sensor module for transmitting and receiving signals corresponding to the surface level of a monitored fluid and include leak detection logic for detecting a leak signature. The leak detection logic may be configured to determine if fluid contained in a tank is in a non-full state outside of a normal state and activate an alarm.

Method and apparatus for leak detection

A new and improved tape rule that increases stiffness and standout length over standard tape rules is disclosed. The tape rule includes a primary rule and a secondary rule, the secondary rule providing increased strength. This invention can provide a variety of benefits, including increased blade flexibility while performing short extension related tasks, increased standout and reduced sag while performing tasks requiring longer extensions, reduced size and weight for tasks requiring the longest extensions and adds the ability to utilize alternate measurement methods or units and built in computational references.

Layered beam measurement apparatus

A dual combustion fastener device implements a first combustion event, contained in a first combustion chamber portion to compress a combustible fuel/air mixture contained in a second combustion chamber portion, which is separated from the first combustion chamber portion by a piston including a driver for driving a fastener disposed in the driver's path of travel into a workpiece, in order to generally provide rapid driving power for securing a fastener disposed in a nose guide of the combustion fastener. Ignition of the second combustion event may be timed so that the second combustion event substantially occurs when the piston has achieved top dead center or the maximum compression of the combustible material in the second combustion chamber portion. Utilization of compressed combustible material may allow for the utilization of a piston having a small cross-sectional area in comparison to a typical combustion device while providing equal or greater driving force in a rapid manner.

Combustion fastener

A rollable beam measurement apparatus is disclosed. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a housing including a reel. A rule having a leading edge and a trailing edge is provided and the trailing edge is attached to the reel. An end hook is attached to the leading edge. In preferred embodiments, the rule comprises a pair of opposing rules forming a tubular structure. This new tape rule eliminates the typically unstable and flexible behavior of typical tape rules, providing the ability for stiffness and standout length in all orientations and in all environmental conditions. Furthermore, this invention improves the readability of the tape rule markings as well as maintains the accepted standard for tape rule stowage while providing these benefits.
