Embodiments of the present invention include a lighting fixture(s), a computer program product and a computer-implemented method that include program code executed by a processor(s) that obtains a request to implement a specified lighting pattern in the lighting fixture(s). Each lighting fixture includes effect lighting communicatively coupled to the processor(s) and functional lighting (oriented to illuminate a surface below the lighting fixture) communicatively coupled to the processor(s). The program code identifies the specified lighting pattern in a memory communicatively coupled to the processor(s), which includes a sequence for illuminating a portion of the effect lighting elements. The processor(s) executes the specified lighting pattern in the lighting fixture(s).

An apparatus for holding and manipulating a dental cast in a dental articulator and a method for using this apparatus in combination with an occlusal plane table to adjust and record the positions of the teeth before and after repositioning of the dental cast is disclosed. The apparatus enables the dental cast to be translated in a plane and to be rotated about one or more of a plurality of axes which are chosen to correspond to the axes about which adjustments are made during dental surgery. The occlusal plane table includes a removable grid which provides a reference system with which to measure the adjustments to the position of the dental cast without the need to calibrate the various translational and rotational controls for each dental cast.

An adjustable occlusal plane table for use with an articulator having a dental arch model mounted thereon includes a planar surface that is three dimensionally adjustable so as to be positioned along the plane of occlusion defined by the arch model. The occlusal plane table includes grid lines on the planar surface for recording the initial position of the arch model on the surface and for recording the change in position of the arch model with respect to the original plane of occlusion thereof. An intrusion ruler having equal steps formed along one edge is used to measure vertical displacement of said arch model from said occlusal plane surface.

A novel face bow and method of its use for accurately transferring gnathological relationship data from a patient to an articulator, the face bow including radioluscent arm pieces with radiopaque markers or indicators for locating critical points, the method of use comprising the mounting of the face bow on a patient in generally conventional fashion and then producing a cephalometric head x-ray of the patient with the improved face bow in place, the radioluscent arm pieces permitting anatomical features of the patient to be clearly viewed with precise correlation to reference planes. Radiopaque markers are located at various selected points on the face bow to accurately reflect the position of points of interest, such as an articulator's axis of rotation, such that these points become superimposed with the patient's anatomical features on the cephalometric head film.
