An automated packaging station is capable of being used to package objects. The automated packaging station includes a supply of web material, a surface (), an aperture () therein, and a closing system. The automated packaging station is configured to form the web material into a pouch. The aperture () is configured such that an object can be inserted therethrough. The automated packaging station is configured to bias open the pouch beneath the surface such that the object inserted through the aperture falls into the pouch. The closing system is configured to close the pouch to form a package around the object in response to the object being inserted through the aperture. The object is capable of being shipped to a recipient in the package.

Automated packaging station and system for packaging objects

A retention packaging assembly () includes an end retention frame () that retains one lateral side of an object () and another retention frame () that retains another lateral side of the object. Each of the retention frames includes a retention panel, an end panel () foldably coupled to the retention panel, a set of wing panels configured to be folded into a folded configuration, and a sheet () fixedly coupled to each of the wing panels. Each end retention frame retains a lateral side of the object between the sheet and the retention panel when the wing panels are in the folded configuration. In some cases, the end retention frames are laterally spaced away from each other such that they do not contact each other when they retain the lateral sides of the object.

Retention packaging assembly

Various embodiments are directed to sensor apparatuses configured to detect the presence of foam forming composition in various regions within a foam dispensing apparatus. In various embodiments, the foam dispensing apparatus comprises a dispensing nozzle positioned between at least two container-forming layers and configured to dispense foam forming composition into a container interior formed by the container-forming layers. The sensing apparatus may be positioned external to the container interior, on an opposite side of a container-forming layer relative to the nozzle, and the sensing apparatus may be configured to detect whether foam forming composition is present within a field of view of the sensing apparatus, which encompasses a portion of the container interior. The sensing apparatus may comprise a contactless temperature sensor configured to detect the presence of foam forming composition based on the detected temperature of a surface within the field of view of the sensor apparatus.

Expanding foam presence sensor and related methods

A capacitive fluid level sensor is provided for receiving data indicative of the level of fluid remaining in a fluid container. In various embodiments, the capacitive fluid level sensor may be spaced below and a distance away from the fluid container to be measured, and may comprise a fluid level sensor and an ambient sensor, wherein the fluid level sensor and the ambient sensor are coplanar. In various embodiments, the ambient sensor may be spaced a distance away from the fluid level sensor, such that electric fields generated by the fluid level sensor and the ambient sensor, respectively, do not overlap. Based at least in part on capacitance levels determined by the fluid level sensor and the ambient sensor, the fluid level sensor may generate data indicative of the fluid level in at least a portion of the fluid container located above the fluid level sensor.
