Described herein are systems and methods for an entity ranking system. In one embodiment, a computing system is configured to interface with one or more domains to identify a set of entities. The computing system can ascertain a first set of data components for each entity, normalize each of the first set of data components for each entity, and detect a failure to ascertain a second set of data components. The computing system can compute a statistical probability for a possible set of values for each data component of the second set based on the ascertained first set of data components. The computing system can rank each entity based on a derived quantile. The computing system can generate a graphical user interface including a visualization of the ranking of each entity, which can be rendered on a display of the at least one user computing devices.

Systems and methods for ranking entities

The present invention provides a method and system delivering graph-based metric to measure a similarity between weighted sets of classifications codes (presented as nodes) defined on hierarchical taxonomy trees. The suggested method is applied to find company peers in a particular domain, e.g., the IP domain based on a company patent portfolio. The suggested method may be applied to other domains that include hierarchical classifications such as trademarks, legal documents, scientific papers, lawsuits etc.

A method of generating a report from multiple sources includes obtaining a topic based on input queries relating to the topic, obtaining information about the topic from the multiple sources, where the information includes excerpts from the multiple sources that meet one or more criteria, and generating the report using the excerpts. Generating the report includes obtaining subtopics for the excerpts, organizing the excerpts based on the subtopics, and editing text in the excerpts.

A method is given for automatically rewriting orthography of a stream of text words, for example, automatically and properly capitalizing words in the stream. If a word in the stream has an entry in an orthography rewrite lexicon, the word is automatically replaced with an orthographically rewritten form of the word from the orthography rewrite lexicon. In addition, selected words in the stream are compared to a plurality of features weighted by a maximum entropy-based algorithm, to automatically determine whether to rewrite orthography of any of the selected words.
