A system for determining qualified contributors of a document is provided. A system can analyze user activities associated with a document to provide meaningful insights indicating the key contributors of the document based on a contributor policy. The contributor policy defines contribution factors and criteria that is used to determine when a user is deemed as a qualified contributor. The contribution factors can be used in an analysis of one or more user activities to determine a contribution score for each user associated with a document. The contribution scores of the users can be compared with a threshold to identify qualified contributors. The identified users are listed as qualified contributors of the document and associated with the document in the metadata. The contributor information can be utilized to inform readers of the document, identity expertise of these contributors, or recommend relevant documents to the contributors.

Determining key contributors for documents

Systems, methods, and software are disclosed herein in which a collaboration service registers users as participants in a collaboration session. As session content is received from at least one instance of various instances of a collaboration application engaged by the users, the collaboration service shares the session content with at least one other instance of the collaboration application. In addition, the collaboration service shares session information descriptive of at least a portion of the session content with at least one social network application associated with at least one user registered as one of the participants.

Enhanced collaboration services

A method of storing data from a whiteboard application executed on a computing system including an interactive display device is provided. The method comprises storing, in a memory of the computing system, whiteboard data input to the whiteboard application in response to user interaction with the interactive display device, displaying a login selector on the interactive display device, upon detecting actuation of the login selector, identifying the user based on credentials of the user; and in response to identifying the user, (i) retrieving previews of stored whiteboard files from a user account in a cloud-based storage system corresponding to the identity of the user, (ii) displaying the previews on the interactive display device, and (iii) uploading the whiteboard data as a whiteboard file from the memory of the computing system to the user account.

Claiming data from a virtual whiteboard

A graphical sketch can be received, the sketch including one or more representations of text. A query can be automatically generated from the sketch. The generation of the query can include automatically recognizing the text and automatically representing the text in the query. The query can be run to identify a picture in response to the query, with the text describing one or more non-textual features of the picture. The picture can be returned, such as in response to the receipt of the graphical sketch.

Pictures from sketches

A sketch is received. The sketch includes one or more sketched graphical elements and one or more sketched representations of text. Pattern matching of the one or more sketched graphical elements and the one or more sketched representations of text with a map region is performed. A map image of the map region is generated and displayed.

Maps from sketches

A sketch that includes a graphical chart representation can be received. A dataset can be automatically generated from the sketch can be received. Additionally, a graphical chart can be automatically generated from the sketch. The graphical chart can represent the sketch, and the dataset can include data represented in the graphical chart.

Charts from sketches

A sketch can be received. The sketch can include one or more sketched graphical elements and one or more sketched representations of text. Pattern matching of the one or more sketched graphical elements and the one or more sketched representations of text with a map region can be automatically performed. A map of the map region can be automatically generated and displayed.

An integrated user environment for creating, managing, and organizing components of a project. A user is able to select a predefined project that includes a list of to do items, or can start with a blank project and add to do items. Once a to do item has been added, the user can associate several different functions with the to do item, including a due date, a note, and one of several categories of entities. These entities include a task or template, a document, and a Web link. If the user selects a task or template, Answer Wizard technology returns options that may be relevant to the selected to do item. Since all of the components of the project are accessible by the user from within an integral project environment, it is relatively efficient for the user to manage the project and make any changes that are required.
