A backup AVS is implemented on a vehicle to serve as a failover system for one or more of the primary AVS components or processes (e.g., steering, braking, etc.). In this way, during primary AVS failures, the backup AVS can dynamically handle a subset of vehicle operations in various component configuration levels based on a desired mission level.

The example method may also include sending, using the first internal communication network of the vehicle, the data relating to the second query.

The example method may also include sending, based on a determination that that the third temperature is at or above the first threshold temperature, a third signal to the switch to activate a data output corresponding to the first computing element.
