A roof ice melt system and method of making and use to reduce or eliminate water from puddling or not running down the ice melt system and off of the roof. One embodiment of the roof for the roof ice melt system can has a slope of between approximately 0.5/12 and approximately 2.5/12. The roof ice melt system has a heating element and heatable cover panel having a a primary heating element cover section, an upper roof contacting section, and an intermediate cover section extending between the primary heating element cover section and the upper roof contacting section. The intermediate cover section is sized so that it extends downwardly along the roof, rather than horizontally or higher, from the upper roof contacting section toward the primary heating element cover section.

Sloped roof heating apparatus and methods of making and use

An apparatus for heating structure or areas adjacent such structure, such as a roof on a building for example, exposed to varying weather conditions and methods of making and use of the apparatus. The heating apparatus can include a heating element and heat supplying components. In one embodiment, the heating apparatus also includes a heatable cover panel and fasteners or other fastening components or materials for securing the heating element and cover panel to the structure. The heat supplying components may include one or more heater cable or heater cable sections penetrating one or more heater cable channels in the heating element. The apparatus may also utilize various insulating and other materials, including paint on exposed surfaces of the apparatus.

Structure heating systems and methods of making and use. One embodiment has a unitary or integral roof edge heating element with a single heating cable mounted in a heating cable channel running laterally through the heating element and a roof edge heating panel extending from the portion of the heating element bearing the heating cable. Another embodiment includes a single heating cable mounted in a heating element surrounded by a heating element cover. Some embodiments can reduce the amount of heat transfer contact with supporting roof or adjacent structure, reducing heat transfer to the supporting roof or other adjacent structure.

Heating system and method of making and use

An electronic gaming machine configured to allow play of at least two hands of video poker where the two hands intersect and share a common card between the hands. The electronic gaming machine comprises at least one display device, at least one input device, a memory and at least one computer processor configured to display at least a first hand and a second hand of at least three cards. After the at least two hands are displayed, the player is provided an opportunity to slide the cards in either or both hands to select the common card shared between the two hands to optimize the combination of cards in either or both hands.

A handheld maintenance module may be provided with a display unit capable of generating video images, a wireless transceiver device capable of wireless dats transmission and reception and adapted to be wirelessly coupled to a maintenance controller, and a module controller coupled to the display unit and the wireless data transceiver device. the module controller may be programmed to allow a person to receive a gaming unit maintenance work order that represents a request for a repair of a gaming unit, to cause a video image representing the gaming unit maintenance work order to be displayed on the display unit, to cause a video image of one or more instructions to repair the gaming unit to be displayed, to allow the gaming unit maintenance work order to be closed upon completion of the repair of the gaming unit, and to forward repair data to the maintenance controller.
