A computing device and a method for generating relative narration. In one instance, the computing device include a display device displaying a graphical user interface including textual information received from a first application. An electronic processor of the computing device receives a user interface element associated with the textual information scheduled for relative narration. The electronic processor extracts a plurality of entities from the user interface element, converts the plurality of entities into a narrated string using a second application, generates the relative narration of the textual information using the narrated string, and output the relative narration.

Relative narration

Systems, methods, and software are disclosed herein for enhancing the content capture experience on computing devices. In an implementation, a combined user input comprises a voice signal and a touch gesture sustained at least partially coincident with the voice signal. An occurrence of the combined user input triggers the identification of an associated content object which may then be associated with a captured version of the voice signal. Such an advance provides users with a new framework for interacting with their devices, applications, and surroundings.

Content capture experiences driven by multi-modal user inputs

Systems, methods, and software are disclosed herein for associating images with content items. In an implementation, a computing device determines that an image captured of a scene includes a display of meeting content. The device identifies a content item comprising a source of the meeting content in the scene and may then create an association between an instance of the image and an instance of the content item. The device may, for example, create a link to the content item that can be embedded in or otherwise associated with the image file. The reverse may also be accomplished, whereby a link to the image may be created and embedded in or otherwise associated with the content item.

Associating content items with images captured of meeting content

Examples of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods for managing membership information. In an example, membership information relating to a service comprising authentication information, billing details, among other information may be identified within an electronic communication from a service and stored. In addition, reminders regarding important dates (such as auto-renewal dates) for a membership may be generated, communication from services may be sorted by service type or service provider, or a user may easily unsubscribe from a service. Additional/alternative aspects of the technology may relate to managing information related to one or more memberships.

Smart membership management

A computing device and a method for controlling narration. The computing device comprises a display device displaying a visual user interface including textual information and an electronic processor configured to map the textual information to an implicit audio narration, wherein mapping textual information to the implicit audio narration has a scalable level of precision to the textual information depending on the visual user interface, and the electronic processor further configured to output the implicit audio narration.

Implicit narration for aural user interface

Reading time indicators for display within a content authoring application are provided herein. Estimates of reading times for the content item as a whole, and of sections thereof, are created as the author manipulates content within a document. These estimates are displayed as indicators within the content authoring application and the document, to inform the author of how long a reader is expected to take when consuming the document. The functionality of the computing device running the content authoring application is thus improved by providing content limit indicators related to consumption time.

Estimated reading times

A park request is received from a first computing system. The park request is a request to park a conversation between a user of the first computing system and a user of a second computing system. The park request conforms to a protocol that supports parking and unparking of conversations having a first modality and conversations having a second modality. Furthermore, an unpark request is received from a third computing system. The unpark request is a request to unpark the conversation. Referral information is sent to the third computing system. The referral information enables the third computing system to establish a communication session to carry the conversation.

Parking and un-parking of conversations in multiple modalities

Users in an enhanced communication system are enabled to tag other users so that the tagging user is notified when both the tagged and tagging users meet a predefined criterion of presence states and/or available modalities to the tagging and the tagged users. The tagging user may then, optionally, initiate a multimodal session with the tagged user utilizing the set of modalities originally specified or another set.

Multimodal callback tagging

Established multimodal conversations are enabled to be parked within an enhanced communication system such that a subscriber of the system can be notified through a variety of means and enabled to retrieve selected or all modalities for continuing the conversation. Different modalities may be parked together or separately. While waiting for the subscriber to retrieve the conversation, a participant may receive audio, video, presentation, or other forms of content as playback.

Multimodal conversation park and retrieval

Safe parking and retrieval of multimodal conversations is enabled through a park server generating a token and encoding it in an address identifier associated with a parking slot. A client application can display the address identifier with the token as a link in a text-based message or in conversation history items. The identifier encoded link may ensure that the intended call can be retrieved from a given parking slot without being confused with another parked call. If another call is parked at the same orbit, the encoded token does not match, and the park server may reject the retrieval attempt with an error message.

Safe conversation park and retrieval

Client devices/applications associated with a subscriber of an enhanced communication system are enabled to generate communication records identifying individual communication sessions along with tie-breaker values such that the records can be evaluated following a trigger event and duplicate records for the same subscriber can be removed in order to provide accurate information to the subscriber when the event is over.

Resynchronization of call events after trigger event

The present invention incorporates an intermediary proxy rules device that has access to information regarding network address and port bindings or network address and port translations. This intermediary function communicates translated address information to other devices on the network, such as the policy and charging rule function and policy and charging enforcement function. The full communication and coordination of this information coordinates correct translation address information and other necessary information to these PCRF and PCEF devices, which eliminates many of the problems associated with the session set-up and maintenance with other networks.
