A method, system or computer usable program product for extracting attribute fail rates for manufactured devices including testing manufactured devices having a set of attributes to provide a set of test results stored in memory; generating a yield model of the manufactured devices parsed by the set of attributes; populating the yield model based on the set of test results; and utilizing a processor to perform statistical analysis of the populated yield model to extract fail rates of the selected subset of attributes.

Extracting attribute fail rates from convoluted systems

A method, system or computer usable program product for automatically identifying layout pattern candidates in selected regions for use in analyzing semiconductor device performance issues including identifying a set of target regions and a set of reference regions from a design layout; utilizing a processor to generate a reference baseline of layout patterns from the set of reference regions; utilizing the processor to compare a frequency profile of layout patterns in the set of target regions to a frequency profile of layout patterns in the reference baseline; and based on the comparison, utilizing the processor to identify candidate layout patterns from the set of target regions for further analysis.

Identifying layout pattern candidates

A method and system for performing a live update of a manufacturing database. The user can automatically change database tables, add files, executable programs, and new modeling schema at remote sites from a central location. Manufacturing processes can be modified or changed entirely to introduce a new product line. Clients at the remote sites receive notification that a change in the database will occur so that works in progress can be completed. Clients complete their transactions but connections to the application server are maintained to facilitate resuming production. No new transactions are allowed at the remote site while the update is in progress. Downtime is minimal as the system is always running and the user can schedule the update at the most convenient time for individual sites. A rollback copy of the data is maintained to allow users to return to a version utilized prior to the last update.

System and method for live update of a manufacturing system

A system and method for implementing revision management of linked data entities and user dependent terminology. The present invention provides a novel method to implement revision management so that when a referenced data record is revised, no manual updating of any referencing data record is required to reflect the corresponding change. When defining a referencing data record, a user designates a choice of version of the referenced data record to be used with the referencing data record thereafter. Specifically, the user can either specify a particular version, in which case that particular version of the referenced data record will be used when the referencing data record is subsequently accessed, or the user can elect to use the &ldquo;revision of record&rdquo;, in which case the version of the referenced data record currently identified as the &ldquo;revision of record&rdquo; will be used. The present invention also provides a method to implement user dependent terminology in a computer implemented system without requiring any user programming. Specifically, when a user logs in, the system determines the appropriate language and values of customizable terms for the user by checking the associated language and terminology set previously defined for the user. Thereafter, the system displays the custom value of the customizable term if it is defined within the terminology set associated with this user; otherwise, if it is defined within the language set associated with this user the system displays the corresponding representation of that customizable term in the user's chosen language; otherwise, the system displays the default value for the customizable term.
