The system is flexible to calculate cash flow, yield, and amortization for an investment during the lifespan timeline of the investment based on the occurrence of an event (or a hypothetical event) during the lifespan timeline of the investment. Accurate reporting is provided by effective dating events of an investment to the appropriate reporting period. The system provides for consolidation, e.g., the aggregation of income and assets from a set of portfolios to report them as one group.
