A verbal description method and system. A computing system broadcasts first audio data and video data associated with the first audio data. The computing system determines that the video data comprises a graphic without a description in the first audio data. The computing system receives audible description data associated with the graphic. The computing system generates second audio data comprising the first audio data and the audible description data. The computing system synchronizes portions of the second audio data with associated portions of the video data. The computing system generates synchronized audio/video data comprising the portions of said second audio data aligned with the associated portions of said video data. The computing system broadcasts the synchronized audio/video data.

Verbal description

Disclosed is a system and method for generating a web podcast interview that allows a single user to create his own multi-voices interview from his computer. The method allows the user to enter a set of questions from a text file using a text editor. (Answers may also be entered from a text file although this is not the more preferred embodiment.) For each question, the user may select one particular interviewer voice among a plurality of predefined interviewer voices, and by using a text-to-speech module in a text-to-speech server, each question is converted into an audio question having the selected interviewer voice. Then, the user preferably records answers to each audio question using a telephone. And a questions/answers sequence in a podcast compliant format is generated.

An audio file generation method and system. A computing system receives a first audio file comprising first speech data associated with a first party. The computing system receives a second audio file comprising second speech data associated with a second party. The first audio file differs from the second audio file. The computing system generates a third audio file from the second audio file. The third audio file differs from the second audio file. The process to generate the third audio file includes identifying a first set of attributes missing from the second audio file and adding the first set of attributes to the second audio file. The process to generate the third audio file additionally includes removing a second set of attributes from the second audio file. The third audio file includes third speech data associated with the second party. The computing system broadcasts the third audio file.

Multiple audio file processing method and system

A dynamic and synchronized real-time captioning system and method for streaming media. A streaming encoder module can provide a code injection to marry textual data and audio/video (AV) data in order to form a text and/or audio stream. A streaming control module can allow an end-user to specify font format utilized to embed into an AV stream. A delay enhancement tool can be adapted to adjust speed of the text and/or audio stream, which allows the end-user to receive the text and/or audio stream at a proper speed. A customized graphical user interface (CGUI) can be adapted to assist with streaming administration to provide an encoding option, caption source location, delay control and slide control. Therefore, the captioning system can be able to synchronize and deliver the textual data and the AV data for live media streaming at an end-user's system.

Real-time dynamic and synchronized captioning system and method for use in the streaming of multimedia data

Methods for associating multi-lingual audio recordings with visual objects in a presentation system accessed by the Internet network wherein a plurality of visual objects such as charts or slides controlled by a third party in a server can be accessed by any user of the network. Each visual object being associated with an audio recording in any language selected amongst several predetermined languages. In an example embodiment, the method comprises the steps of calling the third party server by the user in charge of the audio recording associated with a visual object via the Public Switched Network, prompting the user on his telephone to enter his user ID; and transmitting by the keypad of the telephone the user ID including a first part defining a first language to be used for recording the recording, whereby displaying the visual object will be automatically synchronized with the audio recording.

Associating multi-lingual audio recordings with objects in Internet presentation

The present invention provides methods, apparatus and systems for defining variables to be used in a multi-lingual presentation system accessed by the Internet network wherein a plurality of visual objects such as charts and/or slides controlled by a third party in a server can be accessed by any user of the Internet network having a workstation. In an example embodiment, visual objects are each associated with an audio recording in any language selected amongst several predetermined languages. This method generally includes creating a control file having variables defining all the parameters of a presentation requested by a user of the Internet network. The variables are defined in the control file previously to the presentation.
