A communications device having a user configurable speakerphone feature is provided. A user may be provided with a plurality of selectable settings for configuring the operation of a microphone or the processing of speech. For example, a user may select settings to filter ambient noise for a cleaner sound or increase a microphone's sensitivity in a conference call environment. In one embodiment, the user may select a setting that changes a microphone level or microphone operating range. When the microphone detects speech, the speech may be processed in accordance with user selected processing settings. For example, a user may select settings to specify a gain control, a frequency response, or an activity threshold. Thus, a user may configure a speakerphone to improve sound quality on the receiving end.

System and method for adjusting hands-free phone

A three-wheeled occupant propelled vehicle is described. A seat is centrally suspended on a longitudinal axis, so that by leaning from side to side, the occupant may impart a steering motion by way of linkages between the seat and the steered front wheels. Said longitudinal axis is disposed vertically above the center of mass of the body of the occupant, so that, by the force of gravity, the occupant tends to stay in a vertical position unless a leaning motion is imparted, and straight line directional control is thus maintained. Motive power is provided by hand-actuated reciprocating levers coupled by a linking means to a driven rear wheel. Power is applied in both the fore and aft strokes of said levers. One embodiment of the present invention includes a variable ratio drive.

A self secured housing includes a frame with openings, a first cover disposed on a first side of the frame and mechanically coupled to a plurality of semi flexible first fingers that are arranged for disposal in the openings with some of the semi flexible first fingers having a concave interlocking detail, and a second cover disposed on a second side of the frame and mechanically coupled to a plurality of semi flexible second fingers that are similarly arranged for disposal in the openings. The second fingers are further arranged to urge a corresponding one of the first fingers toward a side of the opening and engage the convex interlocking detail with the concave interlocking detail, thereby securing the frame between the first cover and the second cover.

An electronics housing that is compliant with a type II PCMCIA standard includes a frame (101) and coupled thereto a first and a second cover (103, 137), a connector (121) with a body (123) and a plurality of terminals (131), and a carrier (111) with a first side (113) and a second side (115). The first cover (103) includes an interior surface (105) with the carrier (111) disposed adjacent thereto and an interface surface (107). The body (123) is disposed adjacent to the interface surface (107) and includes a plurality of openings (129) extending through the body. The plurality of terminals (131) each includes a receptacle (133) and an integral contact (135) where the receptacle is disposed within the opening and the integral contact extends from the body and is formed to be mechanically coupled to the second side (115).
