An optoelectronic assembly is disclosed. The disclosed assembly includes one or more lasers formed on a first substrate, and a programmable driver circuit formed on a second substrate configured as an integrated circuit. The first and second substrates are mounted on a third substrate in a stacked arrangement.

An image sensor including a pixel circuit and an active reset circuit. The pixel circuit includes a light sensing element, a storage node selectively connected to the light sensing element, an output transistor configured to, during a readout operation, output a signal that is based on a potential of the charge storage node to an output line, and a selection transistor that controls the readout operation. The active reset circuit includes a first current path and a second current path, the first current path extending from a power supply node to the output line via the selection transistor and the output transistor, and the second current path extending from the power supply node to the output line via a first transistor and a second transistor. The active reset circuit is configured to, when the selection transistor and the first transistor are both ON, set a potential of the charge storage node based on a potential of a gate of the second transistor.

There is provided an electronic circuit including a timing signal generation unit for generating a timing signal; a data signal supply unit for synchronizing with the timing signal generated to supply a data signal; a data signal transmission circuit for transmitting the data signal supplied; a timing signal transmission circuit for transmitting the timing signal generated by a circuit having a substantially same delay time as the data signal transmission circuit; and a data holding unit for synchronizing with the timing signal transmitted to hold and output the data signal transmitted. An example embodiment includes a liquid crystal on silicon (LCOS) system. The LCOS system includes multiple pixels, a pixel voltage supply source (voltage source), an external buffer, and a local buffer. The voltage source is configured to supply an analog ramp to the pixels. The external buffer is configured to buffer the voltage source from the pixels. The local buffer is configured to buffer the external buffer from a subset of pixels of the plurality of pixels.

An example embodiment includes a continuity testing method of a pixel in a liquid crystal on silicon integrated circuit. The method includes writing a first voltage to a pixel. The pixel is isolated and a wire that is selectively coupled to the pixel is discharged. The method also includes enabling a sensing amplifier configured to sense voltage on the wire. The pixel is electrically coupled to the wire and a resultant voltage on the wire is sensed.

A preamplifier for a resistive transducer, configured to generate an amplified output indicative of potential difference across the transducer (while the transducer is biased and in the presence of a magnetic field) and to generate a resistance signal indicative of the transducer's resistance, and a method for measuring the resistance of a resistive transducer during operation of the transducer in the presence of a changing magnetic field. The preamplifier preferably includes circuitry for generating a current signal indicative of the instantaneous current through the transducer and analog divider circuitry for generating the resistance signal from a signal indicative of the potential difference across the transducer and the current signal. When the resistance signal is an analog signal, the preamplifier can include circuitry for processing the analog resistance signal to generate a word of binary data indicative of a value proportional to the transducer resistance. Alternatively, when the resistance signal is an analog signal the preamplifier can include a digital-to-analog (D-to-A) converter, and a comparator which receives an analog resistance signal and the output of the D-to-A converter. In operation of the latter class of embodiments, the output of the D-to-A converter is swept until the comparator is tripped, at which time the setting of the D-to-A converter is proportional to the transducer resistance.

Preamplifier and method for measuring resistance of a resistive transducer

A loop detector circuit for detecting the loop current of a telephone circuit in a ground start mode and a normal mode which obviates the need for a separate TIP ground detector circuit. A pair of light emitting diodes (LED) 52, 54 are associated with a photoelectric device, such as a phototransistor 56, 58, connected across TIP and RING with a series resistor. Each resistor 60, 62, is selected to provide a predetermined voltage drop during a ground start mode and a normal mode, thus enabling the loop detector to detect loop current during both modes. The loop detector circuit is thus able to detect the off-hook status of a subscriber handset during a ground start mode without the use of a separate TIP ground circuit.

A line driver circuit capable of operating at high speeds. The output transistor, an emitter connected to an output terminal, has a special feedback capacitor connected to its base. The feedback capacitor helps pull the output terminal high to increase the switching speed of the line driver circuit. Special current injection and removal techniques are used to speed the switching times of the PNP current supply transistors. The line driver circuit also has special circuitry to limit the output current from exceeding certain limits and for keeping the line driver circuit from overheating.
