Systems and methods described herein provide location-based routing for edge networks. A network device receives routing rules associating geohash tiles, for a region of interest, with one or more virtual Road Side Units (vRSUs). The network device receives a message from a vehicle client in the region of interest. The message includes a message header that identifies geospatial coordinates of a vehicle. The network device calculates a geohash based on the geospatial coordinates in the message header and associates, based on the routing rules, the geohash with one of the vRSU. The network device routes the message to the one of the vRSUs based on the associating.

System and methods for edge-based geo-aware routing

A device may receive a message identifying an incident associated with a vehicle and may forgo rebroadcast of the message when the message was previously received. The device may store the message when the message was not previously received and may calculate a distance from the device to the vehicle based on a received power associated with the message. The device may determine whether to stop rebroadcasting the message based on a stop condition and based on the distance or a current location of the device and may calculate a particular coverage area of a rebroadcasted message based on coverage areas of the device and the vehicle. The device may determine, based on not determining to stop rebroadcasting the message and based on the distance or the particular coverage area, a delay time to wait before rebroadcasting the message and may rebroadcast the message after the delay time expires.

Systems and methods for providing anonymous vehicle-to-vehicle communications associated with traffic incidents

A device may include a memory storing instructions and processor configured to execute the instructions to select a vehicle attached to a base station; determine a speed and a vehicle type associated with the vehicle; and calculate an estimated braking distance for the vehicle based on the speed and the vehicle type. The processor may be further configured to generate a geofence for the vehicle based on the calculated estimated braking distance; use the generated geofence to identify at least one relevant Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) message to be forwarded to the vehicle; and forward the identified at least one relevant V2X message to the vehicle via the base station.

A system and method includes mobile device, a SIM associated with mobile device, an MNO computer, a computer associated with an owner of the mobile device, a first set of keys stored in the SIM for securely communicating with the MNO computer, and a second set of keys for securely communicating with the computer associated with the owner of the mobile device, to exchange application information. The SIM can be configured to determine when updated information related to the second set of keys is required, securely send a request to the MNO computer for updated information related to the second set of keys using the first set of keys, and responsively receive the updated information related to the second set of keys from the MNO computer, the updated information being provisioned by the computer associated with the owner of the mobile device. The mobile device is configured to utilize the updated information related to the second set of keys to establish data communication between an application running on the mobile device and the computer associated with the owner of the mobile device.

Methods for certificate issuance in remote provisioning architectures for embedded UICCS

A device may receive fiber sensing data identifying vehicles traveling on a roadway associated with a fiber optic network and location data identifying geographical locations of the vehicles traveling on the roadway. The device may process the fiber sensing data, with a machine learning model, to identify a particular vehicle, of the vehicles, that is traveling in a wrong direction on the roadway. The device may process the location data, with the machine learning model, to identify locations of the roadway, a cellular network associated with the roadway, and vehicle devices of the vehicles traveling on the roadway, other than the particular vehicle, and a nearest camera device to the particular vehicle. The device may perform one or more actions based on the locations of the roadway, the cellular network associated with the roadway, and the vehicle devices of the vehicles traveling on the roadway, other than the particular vehicle.

Systems and methods for fiber optic based vehicle-direction detection

A device, method, and system provide for collecting service parameters associated with application sessions associated with a plurality of MEC clusters; obtaining capability information associated with each of the plurality of MEC clusters; generating service profiles for a set of transport networks based on the service parameters and the capability information, wherein each transport network includes at least one of the plurality of MEC clusters; receiving, from a user equipment (UE) device, a request for a MEC service having a minimum service requirement; and selecting, based on the service profiles, a MEC cluster from the plurality of MEC clusters to provide the MEC service, wherein the selected MEC cluster is included in a first transport network that meets the minimum service requirement.

Method and system for multi-access edge computing (MEC) selection and load balancing

A device may include a memory storing instructions and processor configured to execute the instructions to register client devices to receive Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) messages, including at least one Road Side Unit (RSU) configured to broadcast messages to vehicles using Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) signals or using cellular wireless signals over a PC5 interface. The processor may be further configured to receive a V2X message; determine a geographic area associated with the received V2X message; determine a message type for the received V2X message; identify a set of client devices located in the identified geographic area and subscribed to receive V2X messages of the identified message type; select a subset of client devices, of the identified set of client devices, based on geographic or situational relevance; and send the received V2X message to the selected subset of client devices, including the at least one RSU.

Vehicle to everything object exchange system

A device may include a memory storing instructions and processor configured to execute the instructions to select a vehicle attached to a base station; determine a speed and a vehicle type associated with the vehicle; and calculate an estimated braking distance for the vehicle based on the speed and the vehicle type. The processor may be further configured to generate a geofence for the vehicle based on the calculated estimated braking distance; use the generated geofence to identify at least one relevant Vehicle-to-Everything (VX) message to be forwarded to the vehicle; and forward the identified at least one relevant VX message to the vehicle via the base station.

A system and method for providing top-up of mobile data, by processing one or more transactions between a data sponsor and a data beneficiary who is possibly being served by multiple data providers. The top-up can be based on i) an application program interface (API) call being made into the mobile network operator of a data user or ii) an API call being made into a sponsored data (SD) platform/system (SDS) to allocate a quota to the data user, among other possible product options. In the first option, provisioning of the data quota and consumption against the quota is managed directly by the mobile network operator itself. In the second option, allocation of the quota and consumption against the quota is managed by the SDS and an SD control app. The system can select a particular option because that option best meets one or more business goals or rules.

System and method for managing and selecting from multiple mobile data top-up product options

A service and system for providing sponsored data, wherein the data usage is not charged to a mobile subscriber but, rather, paid for by a sponsor. The system and service is mobile-operator neutral and exists separate and apart from any given mobile network. The system provides, to mobile network operators and sponsoring entities, a single domain name (TLD). The TLD is white-listed, in wild-card form, by the mobile network operator so that the operator will know to zero rate any data traffic associated with the TLD. Sponsoring entities are also provided with a unique identifier. The unique identifier is concatenated, as a pre-pend, to the TLD, thereby generating a FQDN that (1) identifies associated data traffic as being 'sponsored' and (2) identifies the entity sponsoring the data. The system monitors data usage associated with each FQDN and prepares a bill that charges each sponsoring entity for the data usage associated with the particular FQDN.
