An assembly () to engage seemingly closed bags () that contain a product. The assembly () includes a conveyor () that has a length () that is moved in a conveying direction (). A compression device () is adjustable in respective distance from the length () by a 'parallelogram' arrangement. The compression device () engages the bags () and compresses the bag () against the length (), with sensors (and) providing a signal indicative of the depth of the bags (), and therefore a signal indicative of bags ().

Bag engaging device

An assembly for forming bags, having a belt drive for feeding a film at a film speed to a former shoulder to form a tubular film, a set of jaws movable at a jaw speed to engage and seal a tubular film to form a closed bag, and a sensor assembly to provide a volume signal indicative of a volume of the closed bag, wherein the controller is configured to adjust at least one of the film speed and the jaw speed in response to the volume signal.

Assembly for forming bags

An assembly () to dispatch bags (). The assembly () includes a conveyor () that provides rows of bags (), with the rows of bags () supported on a first delivery assembly () that moves each row downward to form stacks () of bags () on a second delivery assembly (). Stacks () of the bags () are then moved downward to be moved into containers or boxes.
