A bracket adapted to attach a running board to a rocker of a vehicle includes a body having a plurality of running board deflection-inducing portions. The body may include a torsional buckling-inducing portion comprising a rocker mounting portion defining an included angle to a vehicle y-axis and to a vehicle x-axis when mounted to the rocker. The body may further include a rotational moment-inducing portion comprising a stepped segment interposed between the rocker mounting portion and a running board-carrying portion. The rotational moment-inducing portion may further include a rocker mounting tab disposed adjacent to the stepped segment and a flange disposed at an interface of the stepped segment and the running board-carrying portion.

A badge is provided herein. The badge includes a substrate coupled to a bezel. One or more apertures are defined by the substrate and extend from a front portion to a rear portion of the substrate. One or more troughs are defined by the substrate and are disposed on a rear portion of the substrate. An overmold material is disposed on the front portion of the substrate, through the one or more apertures, and within the one or more troughs.

A badge is provided herein. The badge includes a housing having an integrally formed first layer and second layer. A light source is disposed within the badge. A first photoluminescent structure is disposed between the light source and housing. The first photoluminescent structure is configured to emit outputted light in response to inputted light emitted from the light source. The outputted light exits the housing through a light transmissive portion. A substrate is attached to the housing.

A method for making an insulated vehicle extension dash panel includes injection molding an extension dash panel from a structural polymer. The method further includes adding a plurality of components to a mixer to form an insulating foaming layer. The plurality of components includes a two-part liquid silicone compound, a catalyst, and a foaming agent. A screw is then coupled to the mixer and the insulating foaming layer is injection molded to an inner face of the extension dash panel. The insulating foaming layer is then cured to the inner face of the extension dash panel to form the insulated vehicle extension dash panel.

A badge mounted on a vehicle is provided herein. The badge includes a housing having a viewable portion. A light source is disposed inside the housing and is configured to direct light toward the viewable portion. Light emitted from the light source illuminates in a plurality of colors which may create a prismatic appearance.
