A package that is configured to store and dispense fluids. The package includes a container and a dosing dispenser for closing an opening to the container. The dosing dispenser includes a closure removably coupled to the container and an anti-suction valve fixed to the container that is configured to minimize formation of a complete seal between a user's mouth and an upper surface of the anti-suction valve so that sufficient suction to remove fluid from the container is blocked.

A system and method is disclosed for calculating potential power generation for a wind farm, the wind farm including a plurality of wind turbines. The system and method include measuring the power generated by the wind farm; acquiring turbine data from at least a subset of the plurality of wind turbines, the wind turbine data including local wind speed and power generated at the local wind speed; acquiring wind resource data for the wind farm, the wind resource data including wind speed; generating a power curve from the turbine data and the wind resource data, the power curve plotting the relationship between wind speed and power generated; calculating power lost due to availability, subcurve, and curtailment, the power loss calculated for at least said subset of turbines; and aggregating the power lost in order to determine an aggregate power loss for the wind farm.

A package includes a container and a closure. The container is formed to include a product-storage chamber and a mouth opening into the product-storage chamber. The closure is configured to mount on the container to assume an installed position closing the mouth formed in the container when rotated relative to the container about a vertical axis of rotation in a closure-installation direction.

The invention includes a pull-wire igniter for a pyrotechnic distress or signalling device which includes a hollow, elongated, tubular body which has a pyrotechnic composition mixture packed into one portion of the body and a small diameter, central passageway is formed through the pyrotechnic composition. A thin elongated plastic center tube is inserted through the central passageway. The outer end of the center tube is recessed at the outer end of the composition. An igniter cup is positioned firmly within the end of the center tube. A pull-wire device extends through the center tube and is exposed at the opposite end of the body so that the user can grasp the pull-wire. The igniter cup is partially filled with an igniter mixture and the end of the pull-wire extends through the igniter cup and is coated with a scratch material. A short section of shrink tubing is positioned over the coated end of the wire to isolate the scratch material. The exposed end of the pyrotechnic composition is covered with an easily ignitable primer material and the outer end of the tubular body is covered with a sealant, coating or membrane to seal the body of the device against moisture or other contaminants. In a second embodiment the igniter system includes a plug formed in the end of the center tube adjacent to the end of the pyrotechnic composition. The end of the pull-wire which passes through the center tube is exposed beyond the plug and is coated with a scratch material and a short section of shrink tubing is positioned over the coated end. Primer material is then formed over the end of the pyrotechnic mixture to completely close and seal the composition. The end of the igniter wire is bent over adjacent to the end of the tube and is then sealed with a membrane or coating to seal the tube against moisture or contaminants. In both embodiments, the pyrotechnic composition and primer remain sealed until the moment the pull-wire is withdrawn and the primer mixture is ignited.

Pull-wire igniter for flares

A disposable weather-proof safety fuse igniter is provided which includes a hollow cylindrical housing having an internally spaced sleeve provided for mounting and positioning a pull-wire type friction igniter cup. The end of the pull-wire is attached to a vent plug positioned at one end of the housing which, in turn, is attached to a finger-grip device for extracting the vent plug and pull-wire for ignition. A threaded cap is provided to cover and seal the vent plug end of the housing. The opposite end of the housing includes a compression type sealing retainer which has an internal bore for insertion of the safety fuse. A double O-ring seal can be positioned within the housing with the retainer arranged so that rotation of the cap causes the O-ring seal to be compressed against the inserted fuse. Internally arranged ferrules are provided within the internal sleeve for properly positioning the end of the inserted fuse, retaining the fuse in proper position for use, and channeling the flame from the primer upon ignition to light the end of the safety fuse. A metering aperture in the sleeve and a passageway through the housing allows the exhaust gases to be accurately vented. A shipping plug is provided for insertion into the end of the sealing retainer to render the device weather-proof during shipping and storage.
