A corrosion resistant insert of the present invention is used for fitting at an opening in a metallic liquid tank. The insert has an open end, a radially outwardly extending lip at the open end, a closed end and an axially extending side wall spacing the open end and closed ends from one another. The closed end has a displaceable portion secured to the insert in a preweakened manner which facilitates opening in one direction while resisting opening in the other direction. The use of the insert in the tank enables lining and then pressure testing of the tank ready for fittings after which the closed end of the insert is opened to allow liquid flow through the tank when the tank is in use.

Corrosion resistant insert

A rigid insulation member fits internally at the bottom end of a water heater having an inner tank with an upwardly concave base and an outer shell separated by an insulation gap from the inner tank. The insulation member has a one piece construction comprising an upwardly convex center portion which mates with the concave base of the inner tank, a peripheral ring which spans the insulation gap and an annular channel between the center portion and the peripheral ring which seats the inner tank of the water heater.

Water heater bottom insulation member

The present invention relates to an end piece for a water heater dip tube which converts the dip tube from primarily a water feed only, to a combination water feed and turbulator. The end piece comprises an end face at right angles to the water flow through the dip tube with openings radially around the end face and the openings being symmetrically positioned for balanced pressure water flow to all sides of the end piece thereby eliminating directional torque on the dip tube itself.
