Vehicle carbon footprint management

Systems, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to using vehicles as mobile observation platforms. In one embodiment, a method includes, in response to receiving, in a selected vehicle that is equipped with at least one camera, a request for locating a target, identifying search parameters from the request that specify the target that is to be identified and a time window for analyzing visual data from the camera. The method includes analyzing the visual data according to the search parameters to identify the target by using at least a machine vision model executing on a processor within the selected vehicle. The visual data includes at least camera data that is currently being acquired. The method includes communicating detection results about whether the visual data includes the target to a remote device from which the request originated.

Systems and methods for querying a distributed inventory of visual data

System, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to using vehicles as mobile observation platforms and improving the querying of visual data within the vehicles by leveraging edge computing resources of the vehicles in a distributed network. In one embodiment, a method includes, in response to receiving, in a selected vehicle that is equipped with at least one camera, a visual query from a remote device, identifying search parameters from the query that specify at least visual content that is to be identified. The method includes analyzing a subset of a visual inventory to identify whether the subset includes the visual content by using at least a machine vision model executing on a processor within the selected vehicle. The visual inventory includes camera data that is acquired by the selected vehicle. The method includes communicating detection results about whether the subset includes the visual content to the remote device.

A virtual assistance system for a vehicle is provided. The virtual assistance system includes one or more processors, one or more memory modules communicatively coupled to the one or more processors, an input device communicatively coupled to the one or more processors, an output device communicatively coupled to the one or more processors, and machine readable instructions stored in the one or more memory modules. The virtual assistance system receives, through the input device, a request for an item from a user, retrieves a location of an entity associated the item, calculates an estimated arrival time when the vehicle will arrive at the location, compares the estimated arrival time with a predetermined time associated with the entity, and instructs the output device to generate a delivery prompt related to the item in response to comparing the estimated arrival time with the predetermined time.

Vehicle virtual assistant systems and methods for processing a request for an item from a user

System, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to determining a location of a vehicle within a structure. In one embodiment, a method includes collecting, from at least one sensor in the vehicle, sensor data that indicates information associated with control of the vehicle in the structure. The method includes classifying gradients along a path of the vehicle through the structure according to the sensor data. The method includes identifying traversed levels of the structure along the path according to the gradients. The method includes providing the location including at least an indicator of the traversed levels as an electronic output.

Systems and methods for determining a location of a vehicle within a structure

A system for optimizing rescue efforts includes one or more processors, a network access device and a memory device. The network access device and the memory device are in communication with the one or more processors. The memory device includes an event detection module, a transmission module, and a reception module. The event detection module has instructions that cause the one or more processor to determine a location of an emergency event. The transmission module causes the one or more processors to transmit the location via the network access device to one or more detection systems that are within a detection range of the emergency event, wherein the one or more detection systems are one or more vehicles. The reception module causes the one or more processor to obtaining information regarding the emergency event via the one or more sensors that are within the detection range of the emergency event.
