An oral rinsing apparatus that washes away plaque, bacteria, and food debris that might reside on the teeth and along the gumline includes a handle, a nozzle, and a water supply line. The handle is adjacently attached to the nozzle. The water supply line that is connected to the handle and positioned opposite to the nozzle. The water supply line is in fluid communication with an existing water source diverter and provides a stream of water into the handle and the nozzle. The stream of water then flows through a first channel of the handle and a second channel of the nozzle before discharges through a head of the nozzle. A flow-activation button of the handle turns on and off the stream of water that exits through the head as a plurality of flow control settings are integrated into the head.

The adaptable luggage case and workspace combination includes a luggage case, a collapsible workstation, an electrical housing, a first pair of telescoping-leg supports, and a second pair of telescoping-leg supports. The luggage case allows storage and transportation of personal effects. The collapsible workstation is connected to a case lid. The collapsible workstation expands providing a workspace for the user. The electrical housing supports a rechargeable battery to provide power to mobile or electronic devices during travel. The first pair of telescoping-leg supports and the second pair of telescoping-leg supports support the luggage case when the adaptable luggage case and workspace combination is configured as a desk.

An apparatus and method is disclosed for determining the position of a user interface mouse using time of arrival measurements. A transmitter transmits a signal to an array of receivers that are spatially separated from one another. The time difference of arrival for is found for each receiver relative to a predetermined reference receiver. Using the time difference of arrival (TDOA) of each receiver, the location in 3-dimensional space of each receiver, and the speed of sound the position of the transmitter in 3-dimensional space relative to the reference receiver may be found.

An apodization system for achieving a substantially uniform intensity profile of a modulated reference beam on a holographic recording medium. The substantially uniform intensity profile serves to improve the quality of any and all recorded holograms. In high-density holographic storage, the apodization system reduces the required hologram extent while still, maintaining any fidelity constraints (power budget, imaging tolerances, error-rate, noise floor). Furthermore, in high-fidelity holographic storage, better control of the hologram recording parameters can be established. The improved control allows tighter specifications on the image quality to be achieved.

According to one aspect a method for manufacturing a holographic storage medium includes providing one or more data masks with data to be recorded, illuminating the one or more data masks onto the medium with a plane wave object beam from a laser light source operating at a record wavelength, propagating a reference beam at an incident angle to the medium to record the one or more data masks on the medium, and altering the incident angle of the reference beam for each of the one or more data masks, wherein each of the one or more data masks recorded on said medium can be read bit by bit using a laser light source operating in a readout range of wavelengths different from the record wavelength.

System and method for bitwise readout holographic ROM

A method and system of recording successive holograms in a recording medium including a reflective substrate layer, a polarization shifting layer, and a photorecording medium layer is presented. A reference beam and an object beam are propagated at a first direction to a first area of the photorecording medium layer, where the reference beam and object beam have a same first polarization and interfere to produce a first interference grating. The reference beam and object beam are reflected with the reflective substrate layer to be incident the photorecording medium at a second direction, where the reference beam polarization and object beam polarization are altered with the polarization shifting layer to have a same second polarization. The reflected reference beam and object beam interfere to produce second interference grating, with the first polarization and second polarization being different.

System and method for reflective holographic storage with associated multiplexing techniques

The present invention provides a solution to the needs described above through a system and method for holographic storage. The system comprises a laser light source, a first beam splitter for splitting a light beam into an object and reference beam, an elliptical reflector with a first and second focal point, a reflector rotatable about a first axis and a second axis, a pattern encoder, and a holographic storage medium. The reflector is located at the first focal point of the elliptical mirror, and the holographic storage medium is located at the second focal point of the elliptical mirror.
