This invention relates to an apparatus for monitoring a locally attached printer using the locally attached printer's Ethernet interface. A USB device is installed between a computer and a locally attached non-networked printer and additionally connects to the printer via an Ethernet interface. The USB device uses SNMP (or other network protocols) to manage the printer via the Ethernet interface. The system may then report the management information to a central server.

In an embodiment, a system for providing peritoneal dialysis includes a catheter in communication with a peritoneal cavity, a fluid loop in fluid communication with the catheter and capable of circulating a therapy fluid into, through and out of the patient's peritoneal cavity, a multi-line fluid circuit, the multi-line fluid circuit in fluid communication with the fluid loop and including a bypass line coupled to a discharge fluid line, and a cycler including a plurality of valves, the cycler programmed to operate the plurality of valves to selectively (i) discharge therapy fluid from the multi-line fluid circuit via the discharge fluid line or (ii) bypass the discharge fluid line via the bypass line and circulate the therapy fluid a plurality of times through the fluid loop prior to exiting the multi-line fluid circuit via the discharge fluid line.

Systems and methods for performing peritoneal dialysis

This invention relates to an apparatus for monitoring a locally attached printer using the locally attached printer's Ethernet interface. A USB device is installed between a computer and a locally attached printer and additional connects to the printer via an Ethernet interface. The USB device uses SNMP (or other network protocols) to manage the printer via the Ethernet interface. The system may then report the management information to a central server.

Dialysis system and method for cassette-based pumping and valving

Systems and methods for providing multiple pass continuous flow dialysis therapy are provided. The present invention includes a fluid circuit connected to a patient via a catheter thereby defining a fluid loop along which a therapy fluid including a dialysate can be continuously circulated into, through and out of a peritoneal cavity of a patient to remove a therapeutically effective amount of excess water and solutes including uremic toxins. The feed rate and discharge rate of therapy fluid into the fluid loop can be controllably regulated in proportion to the circulation rate of fluid in the fluid loop such that the therapy fluid can pass a multiple number of times along the fluid loop prior to discharge.

A dialysis fluid heating system includes a plurality of conductive tubes; first and second end caps located at first and second ends of the tubes, respectively, the first end cap including a dialysis fluid inlet and a dialysis fluid outlet, the end caps and the tubes configured such that dialysis fluid can flow from the fluid inlet of the first end cap, through at least one first tube to the second end cap, and through at least one second tube back to the first end cap; a conductive wire wound around an outside of the conductive tubes; and electronics configured to supply power to the conductive wire, the wire forming a primary coil of a transformer, the tubes forming a secondary coil of the transformer.
