In a 6G network, microservices can be utilized in the absence of a core network. For example, after a mobile device has authenticated, when the mobile device moves away from mobile edge computing (MEC) coverage, the information from the MEC can be ported to a new MEC along the way of the mobile device's path. The initial MEC can send service related application package data to one or more neighboring MECs. When a neighboring MEC of the neighboring MECs receives the service related application package data and the neighboring MEC serves the area which the mobile device is transitioning to, then the neighboring MEC can send an acknowledgment back to the initial MEC. Once the acknowledgment is received by the initial MEC, the initial MEC can complete the handover of the application data needed to reduce or mitigate any disruption in service for the mobile device.

Aggregation of application and systems for services for 6G or other next generation network

Aspects include selecting a first edge device to provide a first part of a service to a user equipment, establishing a first session between the first edge device and a device for a duration of the service, establishing a second session between the first edge device and the user equipment in accordance with a first access technology to transfer first data associated with the first part of the service to the user equipment, and responsive to determining that at least one parameter associated with the second session falls below a threshold performing: handing-over the second session to a second edge device to transfer second data associated with a second part of the service to the user equipment, establishing a third session between a third edge device and the user equipment to transfer third data associated with the second part of the service to the user equipment, or a combination thereof.

Method and apparatus to facilitate access in networks

Aspects include identifying an application executed by a communication device, identifying a first edge device capable of providing a first portion of a service in accordance with a first access technology and a second edge device capable of providing the first portion of the service in accordance with a second access technology that is different from the first access technology, selecting one of the first edge device or the second edge device as a first selected edge device, wherein the selecting is based on the identifying of the application, and establishing a communication session between the first selected edge device and the communication device in accordance with the access technology of the first selected edge device to facilitate a transfer of first data associated with the first portion of the service from the first selected edge device to the communication device. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Hierarchical and intelligent distributed controllers for an access network

Facilitating enablement of intelligent service aware access utilizing multiaccess edge computing advanced networks (e.g., 5G, 6G, and beyond) is provided herein. Operations of a method can comprise determining a network service being utilized by a first user equipment device has not been instantiated at a distributed network device and based on the first user equipment device approaching a service range of the distributed network device. The method also can comprise deploying the network service, as a microservice, at the distributed network device prior to the first user equipment device entering the service range of the distributed network device. Further, the method can comprise removing the network service from being deployed at the distributed network device based on a determination that the first user equipment device is no longer within the service range of the distributed network device and a second user equipment device is not utilizing the network service.

Facilitating enablement of intelligent service aware access utilizing multiaccess edge computing in advanced networks

A method includes receiving input during execution of a first application at an electronic device. The input indicates that data usage of the electronic device is to be billed to a first data usage account of a plurality of data usage accounts associated with the electronic device. The method further includes generating a request during execution of a second application at the electronic device. The method also includes, based on the input, encapsulating, by the electronic device, the request to generate an encapsulated request that identifies a destination endpoint provisioned for the first data usage account. The method further includes transmitting the encapsulated request from the electronic device to a network element.

Systems and methods of split billing

A method that includes determining, at a mobile device, that a count of encounters by the mobile device with an access point fails to satisfy a threshold. The access point is associated with a first network. The method also includes establishing a connection with a second network in response to determining the count fails to satisfy the threshold. The access point is unassociated with the second network.

Access point connectivity

A method includes generating a request at an electronic device associated with a plurality of data usage accounts. The method also includes selectively encapsulating, by the electronic device, the request to generate an encapsulated request that identifies a destination endpoint provisioned for a first data usage account of the plurality of data usage accounts. The method further includes transmitting the encapsulated request from the electronic device to a network element.

A method that includes receiving, at a mobile device, information identifying an access point. The method further includes determining, at the mobile device, whether a count of encounters by the mobile device with the access point in response to the count satisfying the threshold with the access point satisfies a threshold. The method further includes displaying, at the mobile device, an indicator associated with the access point in response to the count satisfying the threshold.

Intelligent wireless access point notification

In one or more embodiments, one or more methods and/or systems described can determine whether a first encounter of a mobile device with a wireless access point is concluded. The determination may include determining whether a first period of time has expired, the mobile device continuously receiving a signal from the wireless access point during the first period of time, and determining whether a second period of time following the first period of time has expired. The methods and/or systems may increment a count of encounters with the wireless access point in response to determining that the second encounter with the wireless access point is concluded.

In one or more embodiments, one or more methods and/or systems described can perform determining identification information associated with the first wireless access point from at least a first signal; determining that a first instance of encountering the first wireless access point has concluded; storing information associated with the first instance of encountering the first wireless access point; determining the identification information associated with the first wireless access point from at least a second signal; determining that a second instance of encountering the first wireless access point has concluded; storing information associated with the second instance of encountering the first wireless access point; determining that the first wireless access point has been encountered at least a number of times; and displaying, in a menu usable by a user, at least a portion of the identification information associated with the first wireless access point.
