A clip piece. Two clip pieces are joined to provide a clip assembly which is used to attach an object to user equipment. Clip pieces include a support bar from which prongs extend. Two outer prongs and at least one central prong are provided. The at least one central prong is spaced apart from and located between the first outer prong and the second outer prong. The first outer prong, the second outer prong, and the at least one central prong each have a proximal end located at the support bar. Each of the first outer prong, the second outer prong, and the at least one central prong extend longitudinally from the proximal end to a distal end. A latch keep portion is provided, having first latch keep aperture defined by first latch keep inner sidewalls, and a second latch keep aperture defined by second latch keep inner sidewalls. A first latch is located adjacent the distal end of the first outer prong, and sized and shaped for interfitting releasable engagement with the first latch keep aperture. A second latch is similarly provided. The outer prongs are flexible, and can be urged toward the central prong, for release of latches.

Multi-platform attachment system

Various example embodiments relate to an automatic drain system for use with a fluid water separator. The automatic drain system includes a liquid-in-fuel sensor. The liquid in-fuel sensor is configured to detect a liquid level in a water sump. The solenoid has an open state and a closed state. A control unit is configured to activate the solenoid in response to a signal from the liquid-in-fuel sensor. Activation of the solenoid causes the solenoid to go from the closed state to the open state. The automatic drain system is placed in a condition for allowing fluid flow through the automatic drain system from the water sump.

Gas/liquid coalescing filter auto drain

A filter that is retained in a shell housing by the use of a snap connection. The filter includes an endplate having snap features that interact with a groove in an inner portion of the shell housing. The groove may extend 360 degrees around an inner circumference of the shell housing. Accordingly, when the shell is unthreaded from the head service (e.g., during a filter replacement service), the shell only needs to be displaced the length of the inner radial seal interface between the shell and the head, not the entire length of the filter media thereby minimizing the stroke length needed to service the filter assembly.

Snap in place natural gas filter

A filter precleaner for precleaning an unfiltered gaseous mixture. A coalescing filter includes a filter media for filtering a gas, a nozzle assembly for precleaning an unfiltered gaseous mixture, and a lower endplate. The nozzle assembly includes a first nozzle plate positioned upstream of the filter media. The lower endplate is positioned at a lower end of the filter media beneath the first nozzle plate. The lower endplate allows liquid to drain through the lower endplate. The unfiltered gaseous mixture impacts the lower endplate such that liquid from the unfiltered gaseous mixture flows through the lower endplate and gas from the unfiltered gaseous mixture flows through the filter media.

Filter precleaner

A natural gas fueling system supplies methane gas to an engine and includes a filter assembly. The filter assembly includes a gas inlet configured to receive inlet gas and a methane permeable filter configured to separate methane gas and first contaminant gases from the inlet gas. The natural gas fueling system also includes a reformer apparatus configured to convert the first contaminant gases into a reformed gas stream including methane gas. The reformed gas is supplied to the gas inlet and is recirculated through the filter assembly to extract the methane gas from the reformed gas stream.

Natural gas fuel system for an internal combustion engine

A filter that is retained in a shell housing by the use of a snap connection. The filter includes an endplate having snap features that interact with a groove in an inner portion of the shell housing. The groove may extend 360 degrees around an inner circumference of the shell housing. Accordingly, when the shell is unthreaded from the head for service (e.g., during a filter replacement service), the shell only needs to be displaced the length of the inner radial seal interface between the shell and the head, not the entire length of the filter media thereby minimizing the stroke length needed to service the filter assembly.

A separation assembly is generally described that can chemically treat condensate material in a fluid stream. One particular example of a separation assembly is a crankcase filtration assembly used in engine oil filtration and that includes an additive material disposed within the crankcase filtration assembly. The additive material chemically treats condensate material of blow-by fluids received by the crankcase filtration assembly when a condition is present in the condensate material. For example, the crankcase filtration assembly provides a unique structure with a chemically treated component that can reduce an acidic condition in condensate material received by the crankcase filtration assembly, and even more generally may extend engine oil life.

A fluid filter assembly (20) includes an axially extending tubular housing shell (24) having an integral closed end (26), a distally opposite integral open end (28), and a sidewall (30) extending integrally between the ends. An annular filter cartridge (32) is in the housing shell. An adapter plate (48) has a first set of threads (50) thread mounting the adapter plate to the machine (22) from which fluid is filtered, and a second set of threads (54) engaging the threads (56) of the open end of the housing shell in thread tightened engagement. The housing shell is a singular one-piece member of sufficient stock and thickness at the open end to be internally threaded and to structurally support direct threaded engagement with the adapter plate without an intermediate structural support member. The housing shell sidewall extending integrally between the ends is of sufficient stock and thickness to prevent torsional crimping thereof upon thread tightened engagement, including when the integral closed end of the housing shell is gripped and turned to turn the housing shell at the integral open end into direct threaded engagement with the adapter plate. In addition to simplified reduced part content, easy change of the filter cartridge is also enabled, wherein the adapter plate remains on the machine when the housing shell is removed.

Back-washable spin-on oil filter

A fluid filter (10) includes a housing (14), a mounting head (16), a filter element (34), and a pressure sensor (54) mounted to the housing (14) and having a high pressure port (58) communicating with the high pressure side (36) of the filter element (34) and having a low pressure port (60) communicating with the low pressure side (38) of the filter element (34) to sense the pressure drop across the filter element.

A filter (102) for filtering fluid from a machine (104) includes a filter housing (106, 250) having a first inlet (114) receiving a first fluid from the machine, a first outlet (116) returning the first fluid to the machine, a second inlet (118) selectively receiving a second fluid from a source (120) of cleaning fluid, and a second outlet (122) for exhausting the second fluid and for exhausting the first fluid from the dirty side of the main filter element (124) in the housing backwashed by the second fluid. The filter housing has a first flow path (126) therethrough from the first inlet then through the filter element in one direction then to the first outlet, and has a second flow path from the second inlet then through the filter element in the opposite direction then to the second outlet, the first and second flow paths having common but opposite direction portions through the filter element. A second filter element (156) is provided in the second flow path.
