A multi-coupling assembly includes a first female coupler and a second female coupler whereby the female couplers are independently operable. Rotation of a rotational lever moves one of the female couplers from the coupling position to the release position without affecting a connection state of the other of the female couplers. Such independent operation of the female couplers is achieved by rotating cams that are configured such that when one of the cams rotates to interact against its respective female coupler, the other of the cams does not act on its respective female coupler. Pressure relief valves are operated such that internal pressure within a female coupler is released prior to the female coupler reaching the release position during a disconnection operation of the male coupler, and prior to the female coupler reaching the coupling position during a connection operation of a male coupler.

Hydraulic multi-coupling with independent single handle rotational disconnect

A coupling assembly includes a nipple component and a coupler component that are connectable to each other to form a fluid flow pathway through the coupling assembly. The nipple component includes a nipple body that defines a chamber that receives a first valve and a second valve that are moveable within the chamber, and the first valve and the second valve are spring biased against each other by a spring loaded plunger of the first valve, and a second valve spring that biases the second valve in the closed position. During a connection operation and/or a disconnection operation, a balance of forces including the spring bias, in combination with system pressure, maintains the second valve in a closed position, thereby isolating the fluid flow from an area of the chamber in which components of the first valve reside, including isolating an interface seal from fluid flow.

Connect under pressure coupling assembly

A multi-coupling system includes first and second multi-coupling components that can be connected and disconnected. When connected, opposing fluid couplers on the components are connected. The second multi-coupling component has a handle assembly including a hook retainer, and the first coupling component has a roller, and the handle assembly is rotatable to connect and disconnect the components. As the handle assembly rotates for connection, the hook retainer interacts as a single cam with the roller to pull the components together. A locking pin assembly has a locking pin that is moveable between extended and retracted positions, and when extended locks in a housing of the second component to prevent rotation of the handle assembly. A user manipulates the locking pin assembly to retract the locking pin, which is automatically retained in the retracted position. The locking pin automatically resets when the handle assembly is rotated to disconnect the multi-coupling components.

Multi-line connection quick multi-coupling

A multi-coupling system includes a first multi-coupling component including a plurality of individual first fluid couplers, and a second multi-coupling component including a plurality of individual second fluid couplers. The second multi-coupling component includes a locking pin assembly that is attached to a handle assembly, the locking pin assembly including a locking pin that is moveable in an axial direction between an extended position and a retracted position; a housing that houses the plurality of individual second fluid couplers, the housing further including a locking pin hole; and an operating lever configured to manipulate the locking pin assembly. In a connected and locked state, the locking pin is in the extended position in which a shaft end of the locking pin is located in the locking pin hole, thereby preventing rotation of the handle assembly. The locking pin assembly is manipulated by a user operation of the operating lever to move the locking pin from the extended position to the retracted position out from the locking pin hole to configure the multi-coupling system in a connected and unlocked state in which the handle assembly is rotatable to reconfigure the multi-coupling system to the disconnected state.

Latch mechanism for multi-coupling

A quick connect/disconnect coupling having a female coupler and a corresponding male coupler. The female coupler has a non-spill configuration and includes a housing and a valve body slidably movable in the housing. A valve member is slidably movable in the valve body toward and away from a valve seat, the valve member being configured to engage the male coupler. A piston is interposed between a main cavity and a trap chamber of the female coupler. The piston may be fixed to the valve member for common movement, and may include an internal flow passage for enabling fluid connection between the main cavity and trap chamber. A check valve may allow fluid flow from the trap chamber to the main cavity when the trap chamber pressure is greater than the main cavity pressure. A locking collar may be independently movable of the valve body to reduce the force required to connect the couplers.

Non-spill connect under pressure coupler

A coupler that can be configured for easy insertion and removal from an unthreaded cavity within a manifold or other part. The coupler includes an axially movable lock member that also carries a valve member for sealing against a valve seat of a main coupler body. The coupler also has a plurality of radially flexible fingers spaced apart by slots, and a lock member has one or more stop portions that engage the fingers to prevent radial collapse of the fingers for retention of the coupler in the cavity in the part.

Snap-in-place valved coupler

A diversion valve fluid coupling, permitting alternate flows in first and second operating positions, including a valve housing with inlet, first and second outlet ports; a quick disconnect coupling attached to the second outlet port and a seal interposed therebetween; a movable diverter valve assembly, having interconnected actuating and opposing valves; the actuating valve, in the first operating position, having a first sealing engagement with the seal; the opposing valve, in the second operating position, having a second sealing engagement with a first outlet port; a biasing member, biasing the diverter valve into the first sealing engagement, blocking the second outlet port while permitting flow to the first outlet port; and, for the second operating position, a nipple member, removably mating with the quick disconnect coupling and translating the diverter valve into the second sealing engagement, blocking the first outlet port while permitting flow into the second outlet port.
