A device for dividing a fibrous structure comprising an expandable member positioned near the distal end of a catheter and in fluid communication with the lumen of the catheter so that the expandable member can be biased between an inflated state and a deflated state to tension the fibrous structure, and electrosurgical elements situated on or proximate to an outer surface of the expandable member and configured to deliver electrical and thermal energy to the tensioned fibrous structure in a manner that results in division of the tensioned fibrous structure. A method for dividing a fibrous structure comprising positioning proximate the fibrous structure an expandable member having electrosurgical elements, expanding the expandable member outwards to tension the fibrous structure across the electrosurgical elements, and activating the electrosurgical elements to deliver energy to the tensioned fibrous structure to divide the tensioned fibrous structure.

Systems and methods for minimally-invasive division of fibrous structures

A device for dividing a fibrous structure comprising a catheter; an expandable member positioned near a distal end of the catheter and in fluid communication with a lumen of the catheter; and a cutting element situated on an outer surface of the expandable member. Systems and methods for percutaneous division of fibrous structures

Catheters for percutaneous applications are disclosed. The catheter according to example embodiments may comprise a substantially straight section, an anchoring section positioned proximal to the substantially straight section. The anchoring section can have a curvature for providing longitudinal traction with a tissue to anchor the catheter to the tissue and a pathway extending through the catheter for transporting fluids. The pathway may comprise a first section and a second section in fluid communication with each other, where the first section extends through the length of the straight section, and the second section extends through the anchoring section and has a curvature which mimics the curvature of the anchoring section.

Self-anchoring catheters and methods of use

Systems and methods for continuous infusion of a fluid, which may be heated, into a balloon catheter. A system for balloon inflation, the system comprising a catheter having an inflow lumen and an outflow lumen, a balloon positioned at a distal end of the catheter, the balloon being in fluid communication with the inflow and the outflow lumen, and an infusion device in fluid communication with the balloon through the inflow and outflow lumens, the infusion device configured for continuously circulating a fluid into and out of the balloon to maintain the balloon at a constant pressure and volume by matching a flow of the fluid into the balloon via the inflow lumen with a flow of the fluid out of the balloon via the outflow lumen in order to keep the balloon volume and pressure constant during an entire infusion.

Continuous flow balloon catheter systems and methods of use

Example embodiments are related to intraosseous infusion port (IOP) devices to provide access to bone marrow cavities. The IOP device according to example embodiments may comprise a proximal portion with a hollow chamber extending through the proximal portion, the hollow chamber having a proximal inlet for receiving an insertion device. The IOP device may also include an anchor portion positioned distally to the proximal portion, the anchor portion may be configured for anchoring the infusion port device in a bone, and an open-ended channel extending through the anchor portion, the channel being in fluid communication with the hollow chamber, such that, when the infusion port is implanted into a bone, the channel and the hollow chamber create a substantially straight pathway terminating at an opening at its distal end for insertion of the insertion device towards the bone marrow.

Intraosseous infusion ports and methods of use

Tissue restraining systems and devices as well as methods of using these devices are disclosed herein. According to aspects illustrated herein, there is provided a tissue restraining device that may include an annuloplasty member having one or more contact points along a portion of the annuloplasty member in a spaced relation to one another. The tissue restraining device may also include a second anchor for placement in a substantially opposing, spaced relation to the annuloplasty member. A restraining matrix may extend from the contact points of the annuloplasty member to the second anchor.

Tissue restraining devices and methods of use

The present invention provides, in one embodiment, a vascular filter device for capturing dislodged blood clots within a vessel. The vascular filter device includes an expandable framework for securing the device within a vessel. The device also includes a pathway extending through the framework. The device further includes at least one filter in alignment with the pathway for capturing dislodged clots or emboli. In an embodiment, the filter can be given form by a material that can be easily eliminated in situ to permit reestablishment of the pathway.

Tissue restraining systems and devices as well as methods of using these devices are disclosed herein. According to aspects illustrated herein, there is provided a tissue restraining device that may include a first anchor having one or more contact points along a portion of the first anchor in a spaced relation to one another. The tissue restraining device may also include a second anchor for placement in a substantially opposing relation to the first anchor. A restraining matrix may extend from the contact points of the first anchor to the second anchor.
