A telescoping toilet mounting assembly and a method for mounting a toilet to a floor and a wastewater pipe. Hollow bolts project from clamping plates to be received through mounting holes in an upper male flange section and through mounting holes of a toilet base. Base bolt nuts are tightened onto the hollow bolts to secure the upper male flange section to the toilet base prior to lowering the toilet and the upper male flange section into engagement with a lower female flange section. Fastening bolt structures with adjustable-length body portions and threaded tips can pass through the hollow bolts and into threaded engagement with mounting members fixed to the lower female flange section fixed to the wastewater pipe and the floor. Alternatively, fastening bolts pass through the hollow bolts and into threaded engagement with upstanding registration and locking rods retained relative to the lower female flange section.

Telescoping toilet mounting flange

A telescoping toilet mounting assembly and a method for mounting a toilet to a floor and a wastewater pipe. Each fastening bolt structure has a barrel bolt with an internally threaded barrel sleeve terminating in the threaded tip and a screw threadedly received into the barrel sleeve.

A cable assembly and methods for indicating an electrical measurement in an electrosurgical instrument are disclosed. The assembly has a circuit having a voltage sensor, a current sensor, and a processing device operatively coupled to the at least one active conductor. The assembly also has a substantially electrically non-conductive housing enclosing the circuit and a portion of at least one active conductor, and exposing a contact portion of the at least one active conductor, the at least one active conductor configured to conduct power to an electrosurgical instrument. The assembly also has an indicator operatively coupled to the processing device.

An active electrode probe for an enhanced control surgery system is disclosed. The probe has a flexible conductor for delivering electrosurgical energy during an electrosurgical procedure, and is adapted for connection to an electrosurgical generator. The probe also has a flexible electrical insulation substantially surrounding the conductor. The probe also has a flexible conductive shield substantially enclosing the electrical insulation, the flexible conductive shield electrically connected to a reference potential, whereby any current which flows in the flexible conductive shield from the conductor is conducted to the reference potential. The flexible conductive shield is formed from a conductive wire.

Enhanced control systems including flexible shielding and support systems for electrosurgical applications

A surgical tool having proximal and distal ends and adapted to transverse a curved passageway comprises an end effector disposed on the distal end of the surgical tool, the end effector having a first body section and a second body section and a releasable connector joining the end effector first body section with the end effector second body section. The connector is operable to reversibly engage the first and second end effector body sections in a first fixed position and in a second movable position. The surgical tool further comprises an actuation device for moving the first and second end effector body sections from the first fixed position to the second movable position. The end effector is adapted to maneuver through a larger radius of curvature in the second movable position than in the first fixed position.

Multifunctional surgical instrument with flexible end effector tools

A surgical instrument and actuation mechanism comprises an end effector, the end effector including opposing faces, and a positioning slot. The positioning slot includes a linear portion and a radial portion. In accordance with one aspect, the surgical instrument further comprises an actuation mechanism engaged with the positioning slot, wherein the opposing faces of the end effector move in a parallel manner when the actuation mechanism moves within the linear portion of the positioning slot, and wherein the opposing faces of the end effector move in an angular manner when the actuation mechanism moves within the radial portion of the positioning slot.

Surgical grapser tool and actuation mechanism

A tamper evident container closure seal with an integral pull opener is constructed from one or more layers of frangible sheet material adhesively bonded to one or more layers of strengthening sheet material. The one or more strengthening layers each contain one or more duplicate void configurations that form a weak area in the multi layered seal only in the area of the void configuration. When a consumer forces a finger into the seal when bonded to the rim of a container the applied pressure forces the seal to break open and tear only in the weaker area of the void configuration while the peripheral portion of the seal remains bonded to the container rim. The broken open center portion of the seal then forms a pull tab that can be partially connected which allows the pull tab to be lifted back out and pulled from the container.

A multi layered frangible seal is bonded over the pour spout opening of flexible plastic bottles containing pourable products such as motor oil. The seal provides a leak proof closure that is strong enough to remain intact when the filled uncapped container is held in an inverted position, and at the same weak enough to break open and dispense the contents into a fill opening when a consumer squeezes the inverted container. The seal is constructed from a first layer of leak proof frangible sheet material that is bonded to a second layer of strengthening sheet material. The strengthening layer contains a cut out void configuration that forms a breaking pattern which forces the seal to break open only in the weaker single frangible layered configuration of the cut out void forming the breaking pattern when the container is squeezed.

Pressure activated self opening container and seal

A pressure activated self opening frangible closure seal is bonded over the interior nozzle opening of a pressure operated cartridge container used for storing and dispensing flowable material when pressurized in an application gun. The seal provides a leak proof closure that is strong enough to remain intact during the filling operation of the cartridge, and at the same weak enough to break open and dispense the contents out through the nozzle when a consumer pressurizes the cartridge with the application gun. The seal is constructed from a first layer of leak proof frangible sheet material that is bonded to a second layer of strengthening sheet material. The strengthening layer contains a cut out void configuration that forms a breaking pattern which forces the seal to break open only in the weaker single frangible layered configuration of the cut out void forming the breaking pattern when the cartridge is pressurized.
