A main feed thru unit configured as a service equipment or a main service disconnect is provided for distributing power in modular metering mains. The main feed thru unit comprises an enclosure having a back side, a first side, a second side, a top side and a bottom side and a bus assembly. The bus assembly includes a feed thru bus assembly including a plurality of feed thru bus bars configured to receive line power at feed line terminals and pass thru power to feed thru terminals, a cross bus assembly including a plurality of cross bus bars extending between the first side and the second side and a main breaker coupled between the feed line terminals and the plurality of cross bus bars to feed power thru and output power via the plurality of cross bus bars. The enclosure is configured to allow electrical connection to the plurality of cross bus bars through an opening in at least one of the first side and the second side.

An expandable bused elbow is provided for connecting modular metering equipment around an inside corner. The expandable bused elbow comprises an enclosure configured to fit in a gap between modular equipment. The enclosure has a box assembly with a sliding mechanism that enables expansion of the box assembly. The expandable bused elbow further comprises a first bussed interior assembly enclosed within the enclosure having a first bottom end and a second bussed interior assembly enclosed within the enclosure having a second bottom end. The first bussed interior assembly has a first bussing expansion mechanism that enables expansion of the first bussed interior assembly. The second bussed interior assembly has a second bussing expansion mechanism that enables expansion of the second bussed interior assembly. The expandable bused elbow further comprises a center corner assembly disposed in a middle space between the first bussed interior assembly and the second bussed interior assembly.

A 3-phase group modular metering system, with a 3-phase four main cross bus A, B, C and N configuration is provided to distribute 3-phase four wire power to a single-phase three main cross bus A, Band Nconfiguration as single-phase three wire power. The system comprises a 3-phase main connection module, at least one or more single-phase in to single-phase out metering module stacks, a number of 3-phase metering module stacks ranging from as few as none to as many as a plurality and a connection joint. The connection joint is disposed between a last 3-phase module and the at least one or more single-phase in to single-phase out metering module stacks to derive the 3-phase four main cross bus A, B, C and N configuration into the single-phase three main cross bus of A, Band Nconfiguration. The connection joint distributes power in single-phase through the single-phase three main cross bus of A, Band Nconfiguration by deriving (A, B, N) or (A, C, N) or (B, C, N) combination of a 3-phase bus and forming single-phase connection interfaces.

The expandable bused spacer comprises an enclosure configured to fit in a gap between modular equipment and a bussed interior assembly enclosed within the enclosure. The bussed interior assembly has a bussing expansion mechanism that enables expansion of the bussed interior assembly. The meter socket comprises a block assembly mounted at a center of the meter socket, a bypass mechanism situated in the bottom portion of the block assembly and a plurality of clamp jaws. Each clamp jaw includes a clamp jaw assembly that includes a jigsaw mechanism situated in the top portion of the block assembly. The jigsaw mechanism includes a copper jaw bus, a contact plate, a jaw spring, a bypass spring, a compression spring, a shoulder screw, a rivet or one or more fasteners. Each clamp jaw further includes a clamp jaw bypass mechanism that includes a jaw opening formed between the copper jaw bus and the jaw spring to receive a rotary bypass blade of the plurality of rotary bypass blades of the bypass mechanism.

A terminal barrier assembly for one or more terminals of an electrical switching apparatus, such as an electrical circuit breaker or switch. The terminal barrier includes a first barrier portion including a first opening portion, and a second barrier portion including a second opening portion. The first opening portion and second opening portion interface with one another to form a shielding aperture configured for shielding around one or more line wires extending from the one or more terminals. The meter stack apparatus includes an enclosure having a first and second side, a meter section including a stack of meter sockets configured to accept utility meters, a cross bus connection section including cross bus bars adapted to provide modular connection to other components, a pull-out fusible switch contained within the enclosure, riser bus bars coupled to a load side of the fusible switch and to a line side of the stack of meter sockets, and connect bus bars coupled to a line side of the fusible switch and to the cross bus bars. More particularly, the parallel electric service system encompasses a combination load center adapted to receive power from a utility power source and a parallel power source such as a solar module, wind turbine, fuel cell, or the like. The system also provides electrical usage metering and allows electrical power to flow back to the grid. A meter socket block assembly for a meter socket connected to a meter having at least one meter blade, wherein the meter socket includes at least one conductor. The meter socket block assembly includes at least one lug and jaw body, the body having a lug portion and a first jaw portion which are unistructurally formed and wherein the lug portion is connected to the conductor. The meter socket block assembly also includes a second jaw portion attached to the first jaw portion to form a jaw for connecting to the meter blade. Further, the meter socket block assembly includes a base having a lug cavity for receiving the body and at least one snap tab for attaching the body to the base.

The present invention relates generally to electrical panels or enclosures. More particularly, the invention encompasses a removable endwall plate for electrical panels or enclosures. The present invention is also directed to a novel electrical panel or enclosure where an endwall is removably attached to a frame. The endwall can be removed and can be cut at desired locations to create holes or openings for electrical components. The removable endwall can also have one or more knockouts which can be removed from the endwall as needed. One could also have at least one knockout within the knockout.
