A rimfire reloading tool for making rimfire cartridges is disclosed. The tool includes first and second handles connected by a hinge. A bullet mold is formed by two bullet mold heads located opposite each other on the first and second handles. The bullet mold is formed when the first and second handles are brought together. First and second clipping portions are located opposite of each other on the first and second handles and clip excess metal from the formed bullet. First and second crimping portions are located opposite each other and crimp a case onto the formed bullet when the first and second handles are brought together, thereby providing a rimfire cartridge.

A disk drive storage device employs two control subsystems, one for transducer position digital control and the other to control and precisely regulate spindle motor angular velocity in accordance with a crystal reference and a speed correction made at least once each revolution. A single servo sector on a data surface provides prerecorded track centering information. Overall electromechanical operations during track following activities are synchronized by the crystal controlled disk spindle motor subsystem which locates the position in time and space of the servo sector and which also interrupts program execution of the transducer position digital control subsystem and causes it to execute a subroutine for track centerline position correction. Direct digital commutation of the brushless DC spindle motor by a programmed digital microprocessor is an aspect of the present invention.

An optical encoder apparatus is disclosed comprising a light source, a lens for focusing and collimating light emitted from the light source, a cap for receiving and aligning the light source and the lens, a scale movable relative to the cap including alternating opaque and translucent regions for blocking and transmitting light emitted from the light source, an array of a plurality of photodiodes for converting light emitted from the light source into electrical signals, a mask mounted in a fixed position between the scale and the photo transducer array, including in the mask alternating opaque and translucent regions arranged to act in concert with the movable scale to modulate the light received by the photo transducers, a mounting post for mounting the optical encoder apparatus, a receptor for attaching to the cap including a deck for receiving and aligning the photo transducer array, and including a cavity for receiving the mounting post, and a clamp for securing the receptor, and therefore the optical encoder apparatus, to the mounting post. The method for manufacturing the encoder apparatus is also disclosed and claimed.
