A device, system, and machine-readable medium for headless sensor measurements are disclosed. In one embodiment, the device is exclusive of a display. The device includes a sensor head to retrieve an amount of measurement data from an environment. The device also includes an I/O interface, a memory, a non-volatile storage, processing logic, and sensor data access protocol (SDAP) manageability code. The SDAP manageability code may cause the processing logic to provide a sensor type and a measurement data payload type to a mobile communication device. The SDAP manageability code additionally may cause the sensor head to take a measurement, receive measurement data from the sensor head, packetize the measurement data, and transfer the measurement data payload to the mobile communication device.

Headless external sensor discovery and data access using mobile device

Embodiments provide techniques for generation and outputting of display data. For instance, embodiments provide features involving frame data storage within display devices. Also, embodiments provide features involving the isolation of different user contexts to different frame buffers. Further, embodiments provide efficient techniques for saving frame data upon the transitioning between power states. Moreover, embodiments provide techniques for flexibly and dynamically allocating multiple display content to a physical display.

Display data management techniques

A device, system, and machine readable medium for headless sensor measurements are disclosed. In one embodiment, the device is exclusive of a display. The device includes a sensor head to retrieve an amount of measurement data from an environment. The device also includes an I/O interface, a memory, a non-volatile storage, processing logic, and sensor data access protocol (SDAP) manageability code. The SDAP manageability code may cause the processing logic to provide a sensor type and a measurement data payload type to a mobile communication device. The SDAP manageability code additionally may cause the sensor head to take a measurement, receive measurement data from the sensor head, packetize the measurement data, and transfer the measurement data payload to the mobile communication device.

A number, Y, of ports are coupled to a common bus and to a bus arbitration extension device. The extension device is coupled to X pairs of arbitration signal lines, where X is less than Y. The extension device controls the assertion and receipt of request and grant signal in response to a control input which can be controlled by the operation of system software or BIOS. For example, two of the ports share one pair of arbitration signal lines under the control of the extension device and its control input. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a port that is empty or contains a non bus master device or a device that infrequently initiates transfers over the bus shares arbitration signal lines with a standard bus master device. The bus arbitration extension device allows for selectively controlling the access of components to an arbiter or the like based on the control input.

Configurable arbitration device for controlling the access of components

An interrupt request router is described. The interrupt request router stores a configuration value in a register, receives an interrupt request signal of a first plurality of interrupt request signals, and generates an interrupt request signal of a second plurality of interrupt request signals. The interrupt request signal of a second plurality of interrupt request signals is determined by the configuration value.
