A system, method, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for managing a system's entitlement to digital assets when the system's components are replaced. A unique system identifier, comprising the unique identifiers of predetermined system components, is associated with digital assets data to generate digital assets entitlement data, which in turn entitles the system to process the digital assets data. The digital assets entitlement is perpetuated when a first unique system component identifier is replaced with a second unique system component identifier.

System and method for identifying systems and replacing components

Systems and methods for reducing problems and disadvantages associated with traditional approaches to encryption and decryption of data are provided. An information handling system may include a processor, a memory communicatively coupled to the processor, an encryption accelerator communicatively coupled to the processor, and a computer-readable medium communicatively coupled to the processor. The encryption accelerator may be configured to encrypt or decrypt data in response to a command from the processor to perform an encryption or decryption task upon data associated with an input/output operation. The computer-readable medium may have instructions stored thereon, the instructions configured to, when executed by the processor: (i) monitor for input/output operations occurring prior to loading of an operating system into the memory; and (ii) in response to detection of an input/output operation, communicate a command to the encryption accelerator to perform an encryption or decryption task upon data associated with an input/output operation.

System and method for pre-operating system encryption and decryption of data

An information handling system includes a processor, a storage medium coupled to the processor, and a program stored in the storage medium and executable by the processor. The program is for causing the processor to, in response to a boot event, detect that a device is not present in the information handling system where the device was present in the information handling system during a prior boot event or detect a device that is present but was not present during a prior boot event. The program is also for causing the processor to access a list that indicates a boot order where the list is stored in the storage medium prior to the boot event and including an entry associated with each bootable device. The program is further for causing the processor to store an indicator in the entry where the indicator indicates that the device is dormant or to replace a dormant device in the boot order with a newly present device of the same type.
