An exit device including an intermediate transmission assembly transmitting the translation of an input into a rotational vertical rod output is disclosed. An upper door latch receiving a rotational vertical rod input to actuate an upper door latch from a latched position to an unlatched position is further disclosed. A lower latch receiving a rotational vertical rod input to actuate a lower latch from a latched position to an unlatched position is additionally disclosed.

Exit device assembly

Lock indicators useable to signal the locked or unlocked state of a lock at both sides of a door selectively secured by the lock. For example, the present disclosure provides locks having an entry function or an intruder function with an indicator viewable by occupants of an area secured by the lock. In another example, the present disclosure provides a lock having a privacy function with an indicator viewable from external of an area secured by the lock.

A restraint system for a transportation vehicle may comprise a restraint member movably mounted to the vehicle. The restraint member may have a first leg and a second leg that travel together along opposite sides of a seat carried by the vehicle as the restraint member moves relative to the vehicle. A restraint harness may include a retractor that may be mounted to one of the first and second legs, and a lap web having one end mounted within the first retractor and an opposite end mounted to the other of the first and second legs. The lap web may be configured to restrain an occupant of the seat when the restraint member is moved to an occupant restraint position. At least one lock may be mounted to the vehicle and configured to secure the restraint member to the vehicle when the restraint member is in the occupant restraint position.

Restraint system for a transportation vehicle

A vehicle safety system for impeding an occupant's egress from a vehicle is provided. A barrier is deployed, either manually or automatically, to cover at least a portion of the vehicle's exit in order to impede an occupant from egressing through the exit. The barrier may be a passive barrier or a reactive barrier. The barrier may also be a combination of a passive and a reactive barrier or the combination of several reactive barriers.
