Rail for an archery bow

An archery bow can include a member that is adjustable or replaceable relative to a cam assembly. The member can be affixed to the cam assembly such that the member contacts one or more cables while the archery bow is in a fully drawn or near-fully drawn state. The member can be adjustable, replaceable, swappable, or otherwise modifiable to contact particular portions of the cable disposed at various distances from an axis of rotation about which the cam assembly is rotating. While in a first configuration, the member can contact a portion of the cable that is a first distance from the axis of rotation. While in a second configuration, the member can be replaced or repositioned to contact a portion of the cable that is a second distance from the axis of rotation.

An archery bow is shown that has a modular hand grip. The bow may include a riser having an upper end, a lower end, and a grip attachment portion disposed between the upper and lower ends. The grip attachment portion may be positioned to be held by a hand of an archer and may have an opening receiving a grip insert. The grip insert may have a contoured surface configured to contact the hand of the archer and may have a protrusion configured to be received by the opening. The bow may also have upper and lower limbs each having proximal ends connected to respective ends of the riser and each having distal ends. A bowstring may extend between the distal ends of the upper and lower limbs. The modular hand grips may improve shot consistency and feel, reduce torque, and still allow the bow to be customized.

Adjustable grip insert

A compound archery bow having a reverse-pivot cable guard, wherein the cable guard has a first cantilever member connected to a riser at a proximal end and extending away from the riser at a distal end and a second cantilever member attached to the distal end of the first cantilever member and extending back toward the riser. The proximal end of the second cantilever member retains a bow cable such that when the bow is drawn, the second cantilever member flexes toward the plane of arrow flight and the bowstring and away from the riser. This design may reduce stresses on the cable guard, reverse torque on the riser, and improve cable life, among other benefits.

Cable guard apparatus and method

An archery bow includes a riser, first and second limbs, a bowstring, and a vibration dampening assembly. The riser includes opposing ends and the first and second limbs extend from the opposing ends of the riser. The bowstring extends between the first and second limbs. The vibration dampening assembly includes a dampening member and a cantilever member having a first end mounted to the riser and a second end supporting the dampening member. The dampening member is suspended by the cantilever member out of contact with the first limb when the archery bow is drawn and contacts the first limb to dampen vibrations when the archery bow is released.
