A mouthwash dispensing system including: a bottle with a threaded neck () defining an opening () and configured to hold a liquid; a dispenser () including a receiving orifice () and a receiving protrusion (); and a spring-actuated adapter, including: an adapter orifice (); a valve stem () including a spring () and a seal (), wherein the spring () is configured to bias the seal () to move the spring-actuated adapter to a closed position; a threaded adapter () configured to couple the spring-actuated adapter to the threaded neck (); and a friction-fit adapter configured to couple the spring-actuated adapter to the dispenser (); wherein, when the spring-actuated adapter is coupled to the dispenser (), the receiving protrusion () moves the spring-actuated adapter to an open position to allow the liquid to flow from the bottle through the adapter orifice () and into the dispenser ().

Container and manufacture of a container

A liquid supply apparatus having an internal reservoir. In one embodiment, the invention can be a liquid supply apparatus including a housing having an internal reservoir containing a fluid. A partition member may be positioned within the internal reservoir to divide the internal reservoir into a first chamber and a second chamber. The partition member may include a passageway extending therethrough and terminating as a first opening in a first surface of the partition member and as a second opening in a second surface of the partition member. A capillary member is located within the second chamber and extends from a first end to a second end. The partition member prohibits axial movement of the capillary member into the first chamber.

Oral care implement

A fitment for a sachet includes a body having a slot that extends from a lower surface of the body toward an upper surface of the body. The upper surface caps the slot in a first portion of the body such that fluid flow is prevented through the first portion of the body in a direction from the lower surface toward the upper surface. The slot connects to an opening in the upper surface in a second portion of the body. A flow path exists through the slot and the opening in the second portion of the body in the direction from the lower surface toward the upper surface.

Detachable fitment

An oral care implement with product application. In one embodiment, the implement is a fluid dispensing toothbrush having a body comprised of a handle, a head, and an internal cavity containing an oral care material. The head includes tooth cleaning elements and an applicator in fluid communication with the internal cavity. In one embodiment, the applicator includes at least one spring-actuated valve operable to dispense the fluidic oral care material upon engagement with a user's oral tissue. The oral care material is delivered from the internal cavity upon applying a pressing force to a moveable sealing element of the valve. In certain embodiments, a pressurizer may be provided to pressurize the oral care material for positive dispensing. In one embodiment, the applicator is disposed in a soft tissue cleaner on the toothbrush head.

An oral care implement having an internal reservoir. In one embodiment, the invention can be a toothbrush comprising: a handle having an internal reservoir containing an oral care fluid; a head coupled to the handle; an applicator located on the head; a partition member positioned within the internal reservoir that divides the internal reservoir into a storage chamber and an overflow chamber; a passageway extending through the partition member from the storage chamber to the overflow chamber, the passageway terminating as a first opening in a first surface of the partition member and as a second opening in a second surface of the partition member; and a wick member having a first end in fluid communication with the applicator and a second end terminating in an end surface that abuts the second surface of the partition member to prohibit axial movement of the wick member in a first axial direction.

A multi-chambered container for storing and dispensing flowable substances and method for using the same. The container includes a plurality of individual chambers () each containing a flowable substance. Each chamber () is in fluid communication with a discharge valve assembly. Each chamber includes a pair of structural elements that define an isolated panel. The valve assembly selectively dispenses a single one of the flowable substances in response to one of the isolated panels being pressed or squeezed by a user without simultaneously dispensing the remaining substances.

An oral care implement having an internal reservoir and improved leakage prevention. In one embodiment, the invention can be a toothbrush comprising: a handle () comprising an internal reservoir (); a head coupled to the handle; an annular neck () extending from the handle, the annular neck having an inner surface () defining a passageway () into the internal reservoir; an end cap () comprising: a cap body () defining a cap socket () and comprising an annular wall () and an end portion (); an annular plug wall () defining a central chamber (), the annular plug wall protruding from the end portion into a cap socket to form an annular chamber () between an outer surface () of the annular plug wall and an inner surface () of the annular wall; and a first annular seal member () protruding from the outer surface of the annular plug wall; and the end cap coupled to the handle to seal the passageway in a fluid-tight manner.

A dispensing cap is disclosed for mixing a primary flowable substance, such as a soap, lotion, or the like, with a small dose of a secondary flowable substance, such as a fragrance. The dispensing cap includes a plurality of reservoirs containing a plurality of secondary flowable substances. Each of the reservoirs is associated with a secondary piston that, when actuated, causes the secondary flowable substance to be expelled from the reservoir into a mixing chamber in the cap, where it is mixed with the primary flowable substance. Upon mixing the two are dispensed together from a dispensing end of the cap. A selector ring is provided to enable the user to select one of the plurality of reservoirs. The selector ring has an actuation flange that aligns with the secondary piston that is associated with the selected reservoir. The selector ring is engaged with the main piston so, as the primary flowable substance is introduced into the mixing chamber via movement of the main piston, the selector ring and flange are pressed down onto the selected secondary piston, which expels a quantity of selected secondary flowable substance into the mixing chamber. The mixing chamber may have mixing vanes or other physical features to enhance mixing of the primary and secondary flowable substances. The cap may have a lockout feature that prevents actuation if the selected reservoir is empty. The cap may also have a visual indicator that informs the user of a level of secondary flowable substance within the secondary reservoir.
