The disclosure provides a guard bar restraint for restricting movement of a guard bar. The guard bar restraint includes a hook block coupled to the front face of the guard bar, a back plate configured to contact the back face of the guard bar, and at least one fastener configured to hold the hook block against the front face of the guard bar and to hold the back plate against the back face of the guard bar. The guard bar restraint is coupleable to the guard bar and configured to allow no more than a maximum predetermined amount of lateral movement by the guard bar.

System, method, and apparatus to restrict movement of railway guard bar

A derailer for use in a railroad system, has an outside switch point that selectively overlays a running surface of a first mainline track and rises above the running surface of the first mainline track and an outside switch rail mechanically fastened to the outside switch point. The derailer also includes an inside switch rail including a second switch point that selectively lies adjacent a head of a second mainline track and terminates between the first and second mainline tracks.

Double point derail switch

A track system for a railway system includes a base plate configured to be supported on a railroad tie. The system also includes a drive rail and a guard rail. The drive rail includes a head portion, a web portion, and a base portion. The head portion is configured such that wheels of a train car used in the railway system roll thereon. The web portion connects the head portion and the base portion. The base portion is supported on the base plate. The guardrail includes a head portion, a web portion, and a base portion. The head portion of the guardrail is configured to contact the wheels to prevent the wheels from slipping off the drive rail. The web portion of the guardrail connects the head portion of the guardrail and the base portion of the guardrail. The base portion of the guardrail is retained in a support on the base plate. Cross-sections of each of the head portion of the drive rail and the web portion of the drive rail are substantially the same as cross-sections of the head portion of the guardrail and the web portion of the guardrail, respectively.

Track system including a guardrail

A modular railway diamond crossing incorporates sets of acute and obtuse angle castings. The rail connections to the castings have a fine taper to minimize joint impacts. The castings are spaced apart with a combination of rails and cast blocks. The outside block is a tapered design that maintains the flangeway and holds the castings and rails together. The inside block comprises a tapered common center casting. This unit also maintains the flangeway and a longitudinal distance between the castings. The center casting is a common part to all such crossings regardless of the crossing angle.

Railway diamond crossing

A guide rail support assembly includes a brace and a guide rail positioned on the brace. A hook device having a base and two hooks extending from the base and around the brace and secures the guide rail to the brace. The brace has no apertures such that the hooks extend completely around the brace without penetrating any portion of the brace. Adjustment shims are positioned adjacent the brace and a spring clip is mounted adjacent the base and the adjustment shims for securing the hook device to the brace.

System, method, and apparatus for railroad guide rail support

A railway crossing has a plate with a pocket that defines a crossing angle for enabling one railway line to cross over another at virtually any angle. The pocket closely receives continuous long beams and divided beams. The pocket also has protrusions for restricting longitudinal horizontal movement of the beams. Each divided beam has three separate, discontinuous segments, including two outer segments and one inner segment. The segments are reversible such that the inner segments may be interchangeably positioned with each other, and the outer segments may be interchangeably positioned with each other. Fasteners secure the beams to the plate and resist both vertical movement and lateral horizontal movement. Each fastener has a wedge brace, a clip, and a wedge. The wedge prevents pull-apart of the plate and the beams due to thermal forces, mechanical forces, and surface discontinuities.

Railway diamond wedge crossing with reversible beam castings

A brace assembly provides support to a railroad rail, such as for a switch. The rail is supported on a tie plate. A wedge block is secured to the tie plate adjacent the rail. A groove is located in the inner wall of the wedge block. The groove extends longitudinally between the side walls and is spaced between the upper and lower sides of the wedge block. A brace has a tapered upper edge and a tapered lower edge that engage the rail. The brace has a tongue that extends outward from the base into the groove. The tongue and groove have widths that decrease from one side to the other. Moving the brace longitudinally relative to the wedge block enables the brace to be wedged between the wedge block and the rail. A spring clip secures the brace to the wedge block.

Rail switch brace

A bridge joint for use with a railroad track having standard rail sections with flanges. The bridge joint includes a fixed point having a forward integral accepting portion with a point and flanges rearward of the accepting portion. The joint also has a moveable body having a forward interface portion adapted to be slidingly accepted in the accepting portion. The moveable body has a notch adapted to accept the point. Clamping lugs are positioned on the accepting portion and the interface portion. The fixed point and the moveable body are clamped to base plates and quick release fasteners are positioned to engage the flanges of the fixed point, moveable body, and a flange of each of the standard rail sections and secure all to the base plates.

Bridge joint

A flexible life-like fishing lure having an opening in its main body member and/or appendages to impart movement to the lure. The openings deflect water as the lure is moved generating hydrodynamic pressure waves that help attract the fish.

Fishing lure

A bridge joint for use with a railroad track having standard rail sections with flanges. The bridge joint includes a fixed point section having an integral accepting portion with a point and laterally spaced side walls, and a standard rail abutting portion. The joint also has a moveable point section having a yoke portion with a point and laterally spaced side walls, and a standard rail abutting portion. A rocker arm has a moveable interface portion adapted to be pivotally attached to said yoke portion and a fixed interface portion adapted to be received in said accepting portion. Clamping lugs arc positioned on the side walls of the accepting portion and the yoke portion. The fixed point section and the moveable point section are clamped to base plates with clamping members that engage the clamping lugs. Quick release fasteners are positioned to engage flanges along the fixed point section, moveable point section, and a flange of each of the standard rail sections and secure all to the base plates such that they are removable from the topside of the base plates.

Three-piece bridge joint

An artificial fishing lure to simulate the natural movement and shape of live bait. The fishing lure is comprised of flexible resilient material with a hook being embedded in an end portion that forms the body configuration of the lure when engaged back upon itself. The end portion retains a spaced relation to the remaining body with engagement of the hook through the remaining body portion defining an opening within the lure.
