A system and method for transforming physical currency in the form of banknotes into digital currency is disclosed. The system includes a device that can scan and destroy banknotes, and send information about the destroyed banknotes to a digital currency minting system so that a corresponding value of digital currency can be created on a corresponding digital currency network. The device includes at least two optical devices, where one of the optical devices is displaced from a shredding assembly at a particular distance to ensure that a confirmation of destruction image including a serial number on the banknote can be captured at approximately the same time that a sufficient amount of the banknote has been shredded to render the banknote invalid for use as currency.

System and methods for converting banknotes to digital currency

A method of providing a dynamic go-bag service to a user is described. The go-bag contains various supplies and important documents, and is configured to protect these contents during an emergency situation. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving user information from a user, including information about the user, the user's family, and the user's home or residence. Based on the received user information, the method further includes generating a customized go-bag for the user that includes contents specific for the user to use in an emergency situation. The method also includes providing the customized go-bag to the user.

Dynamic go-bag service for emergency situations

The embodiments provide a system and method for maintaining real estate data in a secure manner. Access to the data for a given real estate property is restricted by using an authentication device that is physically located at the same real estate property. The authentication device may provide a rolling authentication code that can be entered by the user requesting access to the data. In another embodiment, access to the data for a given real estate property is restricted by using a real estate data unit that is physically stored on the premises. Access to the data may therefore be restricted to users who are close enough to connect with the data unit via wired or wireless communication methods. The data unit and/or authentication device may include a device housing and an installation portion. The installation portion may be configured to attach to part of a building and/or lot.

System and method for maintaining real estate data in a secure manner

A method and system for managing and providing access to a temporary debit card is disclosed. The embodiments provide a system that authenticates remote users of an ATM kiosk who request a temporary debit card. The authentication occurs by capture of biometric data or a specially generated signal from their mobile device transmitted to the kiosk. In one example, the biometric data is compared to a reference biometric pattern. Where the system determines the biometric patterns match, or if the mobile device-generated signal is verified, a signal approving the request is transmitted from the system to the kiosk, causing the kiosk to fabricate a temporary debit card.

A system includes one or more processors configured to receive one or more sets of LIDAR sensor data corresponding to damage of a property. The system is configured to analyze the one or more sets of LIDAR sensor data and determine a repair recommendation and recommended time period of repair for the associated damage of the property. The system may also detect changes to property condition over time and monitor condition of the property over time via LIDAR sensors and alert the user when property condition decreases and a repair is recommended.

A micropattern detection-based method and system of performing an authentication of video of a person in order to authorize access to a secured resource is provided. The user provides image data in which they present a secondary computing device with a specially fabricated screen cover. The screen cover includes a plurality of micro-holes that collectively provide a unique micropattern. When the user adjusts a display setting, the micropattern, previously cloaked, becomes apparent as an arrangement of pinpoints of light. The system and method are configured to evaluate the image data to determine whether the micropattern is present. If a micropattern is present, the system determines the image is authentic and can verify an identity of the person. In some cases, the system can further be configured to automatically grant the person access to one or more services for which they are authorized.

The method includes receiving from a first global positioning system on a vehicle a first set of global positioning data indicative of a vehicle location. The method may also receive from a second global positioning system on a portable electronic device a second set of global positioning data indicative of a portable electronic device location. The method determines a residence location from the first set of global positioning data, the second set of global positioning data, or the set of location metadata. An emergency signaling system is disclosed. The system includes a receptacle and a painting device. The painting device is covered in a paint material and stored in the receptacle. The receptacle can be used to launch the painting device onto a surface, such as a roof, in the event that a user needs to signal a search and rescue team or anyone near their present location. The painting device, upon contact with a surface, creates a painted signal. The painted signal can have different shapes according to the shape of the painting device. The painting device can include weight members or flexible frame members to facilitate opening the painting device from a closed or folded configuration to a fully open configuration once the painting device has been launched from the receptacle.

Emergency signaling system

A system includes a building that has a wall that is at least partially covered in a smart paint. The system also includes a sensor that is configured to collect sensor data regarding a condition within the building. The system additionally includes a controller that is operatively coupled to the wall and the smart paint. The controller is configured to receive the sensor data from the sensor, determine whether the condition is present based on the sensor data, and in response to determining the condition is present, cause the smart paint to provide an indication that the condition is present.
