A voltage amplifier is provided that includes a first row and a second row each having a respective first or second plurality of capacitors arranged collinearly. First row capacitors comprise first terminals and second row capacitors comprise second terminals. The first row and second row are parallel to each other along longitudinal and lateral axes. A third row has a first plurality of diodes and a fourth row has a second plurality of diodes, each row positioned cross-wise to the first row and located above the first and second rows along the vertical axis. The first diodes are positioned parallel to each other along the longitudinal and lateral axes, and the second diodes are parallel to each other along the longitudinal and lateral axes and positioned cross-wise to and above the first plurality along the vertical axis. Diodes and capacitors are directly and physically connected using respective electrical leads.

System and method for assembling a voltage amplifier

An electrical assembly including a substantially planar substrate having at least one recess therein and a plurality of electrical components. The electrical components are positioned in the at least one recess and include a first electrical component and a second electrical component. Each of the electrical components has a body and an electrical connection. The electrical connection of the first electrical component and the electrical connection of the second electrical component are aligned with each other when the body of the first electrical component is in a recess and the body of the second electrical component is in a recess.

Electrical assembly

A remote low voltage power source for electrostatic paint applicators used in hazardous locations. A low voltage generator and voltage conditioning and regulating circuitry are mounted in a small explosion proof housing. A generator shaft and a shaft on a voltage level adjusting potentiometer extend through and projects from the housing. The flamepath and the flame gap for the shafts meet explosion proof standards while permitting shaft rotation. An air driven turbine is mounted on the exterior of the housing and is connected to the projecting generator shaft to drive the generator. The low voltage is applied to a spray gun which includes circuitry for increasing the voltage to a high level for electrostatic charging sprayed paint.

Remote power source for electrostatic paint applicator

An instrument for measuring the resistance of liquid paints and the surface resistance of articles to be coated electrostatically, includes a voltage multiplier circuit that multiplies a periodic low voltage signal to generate a resistance measuring voltage applied to first and second electrodes for resistance measurements. The electrodes are coupled to differential inputs of an A/D converter having an oscillator output for supplying the periodic low voltage signal to the multiplier circuit. Resistance, voltage and current measuring circuits are alternately switchable between the electrodes and the differential inputs of the A/D converter for measuring resistance, voltage and current, the results of which are displayed visually.
