This invention relates to a scrub pad comprising a scrubbing layer having a periphery along the edges of the layer; a wiping layer having a periphery along the edges of the layer; and an absorbent core layer having a periphery along the edges of the layer comprising at least one absorbent material selected from the group consisting of short-fiber, air-laid nonwoven material, nonwoven plastic batting, cellulosic fibrous web materials, wax coated paper, corrugated paper, fluff pulp, cotton balls, cotton batting, or mixture thereof; wherein the absorbent core layer is located intermediate to the scrubbing layer and the wiping layer and wherein the scrubbing layer, the absorbent core layer and the wiping layer are joined at the periphery of each layer.

Multilayer scrub pad

A scrub pad comprising a scrubbing layer having a periphery along the edges of the layer, a wiping layer having a periphery along the edges of the layer, and an absorbent core layer having a periphery along the edges of the layer. The scrub pad has at least one absorbent material selected from: short-fiber, air-laid nonwoven material, nonwoven plastic batting, cellulosic fibrous web materials, wax coated paper, corrugated paper, fluff pulp, cotton balls, cotton batting, and mixtures thereof The absorbent core layer is located intermediate to the scrubbing layer and the wiping layer and wherein the scrubbing layer, the absorbent core layer and the wiping layer are joined at the periphery of each layer to form a bonded edge. The scrubbing layer comprises at least one ply further comprising a material selected from: polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon, and mixtures thereof, the scrubbing layer being shaped as a mesh, or scrim of filaments, wherein the mesh or scrim further comprises filaments having a diameter of from about 0.1 mm to about 1.0 mm. The filaments of the mesh form cells bounded by the filaments that have an area of from about 2 mmto about 25 mm, intersect at one or more points, and are sealed at one or more of the intersecting points to form one or more nodes that are from about 0.2 mm to about 1.0 mm in size.

Disclosed is a soft tissue paper product having two outer surfaces, the soft tissue paper product comprising one or more plies of a tissue paper having a total wet tensile strength of at least about 200 g/in; and a chemical softening composition deposited on at least one outer surface of said tissue, said chemical softening composition comprising a polysilicoxane-polyalkyleneoxide copolymer comprising greater than about 30% by weight of polyethyleneoxide macromonomer; wherein the copolymer has a surface tension of less than about 40 mN/m, has a Ross Miles foam height of less than about 60 mm, and has an HLB of greater than about 4.
