A method, apparatus, and system for delivering an optical sensor. A capsule is placed into a tube system, wherein an optical fiber is stored within the capsule. The capsule is moved through the tube system. The optical fiber is unfurled as the capsule travels through a tube system. Optical signals are sent through the optical fiber from a proximal end of the optical fiber. Response optical signals occurring in response to the optical signals sent through the optical fiber are detected. Sensor data is transmitted based on the response optical signals detected by the optical system.

Optical fiber sensor system

Devices and methods of a pod that deploys from an aircraft or vehicle and descends to safely land. The pod is configured to be attached to an aircraft or vehicle. The pod includes walls that extend around and form a contained interior space that houses one or more travelers or cargo containers. During flight of the aircraft or vehicle, the pod deploys from the aircraft or vehicle while at an elevation above ground. A landing location is determined for the pod. While the pod is descending, the pod is steered towards and lands at the landing location.

Ergonomics improvement systems having wearable sensors and related methods. An example ergonomics improvement system includes an encoder system to couple to a limb of a body. The encoder sensor system to generate first outputs in response to movement of the limb relative to the body to determine a position of the limb relative to the body. The system includes a load sensor to generate a second output representative of a load carried by the body and a position sensor to generate a third output representative of a position of a right foot of the body relative to a position of a left foot of the body.

Ergonomics improvement systems having wearable sensors and related methods

A method, apparatus, and system for controlling a deep brain stimulation system. Internal sensor data is received for a group of internal parameters that relate to an operation of the deep brain stimulation system. The internal sensor data is generated by an internal sensor system. External sensor data is received for a group of external parameters for an environment around the device. The external sensor data is generated by an external sensor system. The internal sensor data and the external sensor data are analyzed with aggregated internal sensor data and aggregated external sensor data for deep brain stimulation systems of a same class as the deep brain stimulation system to generate results. An operation of the device is controlled based on the results.

Automated deep brain stimulation system tuning

A method, apparatus, and system for controlling a device. A device control system comprises a computer system and a controller in the computer system. The controller receives internal sensor data for a group of internal parameters generated by an internal sensor system that senses the group of internal parameters within the device that relate to an operation of the device and receive external sensor data for a group of external parameters generated by an external sensor system that senses the group of external parameters in an environment around the device that relate to the operation of the device. The controller sends the internal sensor data and the external sensor data for an analysis with aggregated internal sensor data and aggregated external sensor data for devices of a same class as the device to generate results. The controller controls the operation of the device based on the results of the analysis.

Automated device tuning

A system and method to transport one or more persons or objects. The system includes pods that each have an interior space to house the one or more persons or objects, and vehicles that are each configured to individually connect to one or more of the pods and to transport the pods from a first location to a second location. A server is located remotely from the pods and the vehicles. The server is configured to receive data from the pods and the vehicles through a wireless communication network to monitor a usage and location of the pods.

System for pod-based transportation

A transportation system that includes one or more pods that include an interior space configured to house one or more travelers. The pods can be attached to and transported by multiple different vehicles. The different vehicles can provide for different modes of transportation. The pods are configured to supply one or more utility functions to the interior space. One embodiment is a system with an interface to instruct a user device of a user to capture first sensor data of an object performing one or more known actions. The system also includes a training controller to allocate points as an award to the user of the user device for correctly capturing the object performing the one or more known actions, and to generate an instruction for the user to capture second sensor data of the object performing one or more unknown actions if the user has exceeded a threshold of awarded points. The training controller trains a machine learning function based on the second sensor data of the object performing the one or more unknown actions as identified by the user having exceeded the threshold of awarded points.

Enhanced collection of training data for machine learning to improve worksite safety and operations

Methods and devices for searching for a missing person. Data sources are accessed through an IP network to obtain information about the missing person. Based on the obtained information, potential scenarios are develop of the current location of the missing person. The information is disseminated to search entities that search the geographic areas of the potential scenarios. Additional information is obtained about the missing person during the search to further develop the potential scenarios and focus the search areas.

Methods and devices for searching for a missing person

Systems for collision avoidance for a vehicle. One or more inputs are used to determine an impending collision. Once determined, corrective actions are taken to reduce the severity of the collision. The corrective actions can avoid the collision and/or reduce the damage caused by the collision. The systems and methods can be performed at the vehicle based on data available to a control unit in the vehicle. The systems and methods can also be performed at a system level that controls one or more vehicles and/or objects.

Systems and methods for reducing a severity of a collision

A computer-implemented method includes searching, by machine learning logic of a computer, a flight schedule database for one or more flight schedule records related to flight preference information specified by a user. The machine learning logic is trained with training data that includes flight schedules selected by passengers and flight preference information associated with the passengers. The method further includes responsive to locating the one or more flight schedule records, communicating, by the computer, flight schedules associated with the one or more flight schedule records to a terminal associated with the user. The method includes receiving, from the terminal, a booking indication associated with a particular flight schedule of the flight schedules and updating the training data to associate the particular flight schedule with the flight preference information specified by the user.

Method and system for flight scheduling

A method for managing nonconformances in laminates. The method comprises recording, by a sensor system, layup information about a layup of layers on a workpiece platform, wherein the layup of layers forms a workpiece and recording inspection information about the laminate on an inspection platform, wherein the laminate is formed from curing the workpiece. An analyzer in a computer system identifies a laminate nonconformance in the laminate using the inspection information and a user input verifies the laminate nonconformance in the laminate is present. An artificial intelligence system is trained by the computer system using the layup information, the inspection information, and the user input verifying the laminate nonconformance.

Laminate nonconformance management system

A modular transportation system to transport one or more persons and/or objects. The system may include a pod with wall segments that mount together to form an interior space to house the one or more persons and/or objects. The wall segments are modular and configured to connect together in a variety of different configurations to selectively configure the interior space. Vehicles are each configured to individually connect to the pod and to transport the pod from a first location to a second location. At least one of the vehicles is configured to transport the pod by land and at least one of the vehicles is configured to transport the pod by air.

Reconfigurable pods for use with one or more vehicles

A method, apparatus, and system for delivering an electrical current. Optical signals are sent through a group of optical fibers in a medium. Response optical signals occurring in response to the optical signals sent through the group of optical fibers are detected when the group of optical fibers is located in the medium. A group of parameters for the medium is determined using the response optical signals. A group of electrical currents is sent through a group of electrodes based on the group of parameters, wherein the group of electrodes emit the group of electrical currents.
