A golf club head has a striking face with a plurality of scorelines including a first scoreline and a second scoreline adjacent thereto. The striking face also has a plurality of auxiliary grooves each spaced from the scorelines. In a first imaginary vertical plane, a first path is formed by a first intersection between the first imaginary vertical plane and the striking face, and the auxiliary grooves have a first concentration no less than 0.17 measured between the first and second scorelines. A second imaginary vertical plane is horizontally spaced from the first imaginary plane. A second path is formed in the second imaginary vertical plane by a second intersection between the second imaginary vertical plane and the striking face. The auxiliary grooves in the second imaginary vertical plane have a second concentration that is different from the first concentration measured between the first and second scorelines.

A golf club includes a club head having a volume of greater than about 360 cmand a mass less than 200 g. A shaft attachable to the club head has a tip end, a butt end, and a shaft balance point distance, BP, as measured from the butt end, of no more than 19 inches. And the golf club has a mass less than 300 g.

A method for use in a system implementing a reference golf club, one or more sensors associated with the reference golf club, and a computing device. Method, system, and apparatus for analyzing a sporting apparatus

A putter-type golf club head that, when oriented in a reference position, includes a blade portion having a striking face, a top line, and a sole, the striking face in turn including a face center. The club head further includes a rear portion in communication with, and rearward of, the blade portion, and it includes an alignment element rearward of, and recessed toward the sole from, the top line. The alignment element defines a virtual center line segment oriented in a substantially front-to-rear direction at a height between 19 mm and 24 mm from a lowermost point of the sole, the center line segment having a length no less than 34 mm and being not spaced more than 10 mm from a virtual vertical plane passing through the face center and extending generally perpendicular to the striking face. A width of the club head is no less than 3.0 in.

Putter-type golf club head with alignment feature

The present application is direction to a computing device having a memory and a processor. The processor is configured to receive data generated in response to a motion of a sporting apparatus, where the data includes a first data relating to a first characteristic of the motion of the sporting apparatus. A system for fitting golf clubs to golfers that enables an overall club length to be varied without varying a length of a shaft. The system enables a greater number of combinations of club characteristics, such as shaft flex, brand, and length, to be contained within a club fitting cart and/or for a same number of combinations of club characteristics to be contained within a smaller cart.

Systems and methods for fitting golf clubs

A golf club head includes a primary component and a secondary component, wherein the secondary component is rotatably or pivotally associated with the rear surface of the primary component. The secondary component is adjustable between a first orientation and a second orientation relative to the primary component such that the golf club head has a first sole contour when the secondary component is in the first orientation and a second sole contour when the secondary component is in the second orientation, the first sole contour being different from the second sole contour.

An apparatus includes an actuator having an actuation axis, a base having a base plane, a first actuator mount for associating the actuator with the base in a first position, and a second actuator mount for associating the actuator with the base in a second position, and a clamp for associating the golf club head with the base. If the actuator is in the first position, the actuation axis is substantially perpendicular to the base plane, and, if the actuator is in the second position, the actuation axis is oblique relative to the base plane.
