Embodiments of the present disclosure include methods, apparatuses, systems, and computer program product for enabling multi-point shunt calibration of a sensor device. Multi-point shunt calibration provides at least a first, second, and third simulated calibration output, each simulated calibration output corresponding to an actual reading value and an expected reading value. The simulated calibration outputs are associated with a predefined output sequence, where each simulated calibration output is separated from an adjacent simulated calibration output by an output step size. Some embodiments are configured for automatically outputting each simulated calibration output for a particular period of time before outputting an adjacent simulated calibration output in the predefined output sequence. The various simulated calibration outputs, actual reading values, and/or expected values may be used in determining calibrated reading values for the sensor device.

Methods, apparatuses, systems, and computer program products for multi-point shunt calibration

Embodiments relate generally to systems and methods for providing a seal between an expansion plug and an opening in a load pin. A load pin may comprise a strain gauge located within an opening in a body of the load pin; an expansion plug configured to seal with the opening, covering the strain gauge; and a sealing material attached to at least a portion of the expansion plug configured to seal between the expansion plug and the opening. A method may comprise selecting a sealing material configured to prevent damage to the expansion plug from the external environment, based on the environment in which the expansion plug will be used; applying the sealing material to at least a portion of the expansion plug; vulcanizing the sealing material to the expansion plug to combine the two elements; and inserting the expansion plug into the opening.

Apparatus and associated methods relate to an anti-rotation device (ARD) including a cylindrical ring extending along a longitudinal axis, the ring including proximal and distal faces. In an illustrative example, the ring may include proximal coupling members extending from the proximal face insertably engaging with mating recesses within a connector-disk. The ring may include distal coupling members extending from the distal face insertably engaging with mating recesses within a body-assembly, for example. The coupling members may extend, for example, parallel to the longitudinal axis. The ARD may be captured between the connector-disk and the body-assembly and may be retained by a proximal twist-lock cap screwably engaged with the body-assembly, such that relative rotational motion between the connector-disk and the body-assembly is substantially restricted, for example. Various ARDs may substantially restrict relative rotational motion between connector-disks and body-assemblies advantageously mitigating disconnection of wiring harnesses in circular connector applications.

A system includes a rotor, a rotor antenna attached to the rotor, a strain detection device attached to the rotor, a programmable gain amplifier attached to the rotor, and a control module attached to the rotor. The strain detection device is configured to generate signals that indicate an amount of strain in the rotor. The programmable gain amplifier is configured to amplify the signals generated by the strain detection device by a gain value. The gain value is programmable. The control module is configured to program the gain value of the programmable gain amplifier and transmit, via the rotor antenna, digital data that is derived from the amplified signals.

The flange section is coupled to the transmitter housing and has a pressure port formed therein that includes an open first end, a closed second end, and an inner surface that defines a bore between the open first end and the closed second end. A load pin brake cell apparatus includes a load pin element that can be machined with a pair of external grooves in order to create independent load locations. A sleeve can be installed over the load pin element and can be welded at each edge of the grooves to relocate the pair of grooves to interior of the load pin element. The sleeve and the load pin act as one homogenous component to ensure a predictable and total transfer of stress and strain to a strain gauge located within the load pin. The ratio of a cross-sectional area between the sleeve and the load pin can be kept to a minimum in order to minimize the non-linearity due to bending stresses. The sleeve wall preferably possesses a sufficient thickness to prevent yielding at the grooves.
