Some embodiments include a method of operating a gaming system configured to present wagering game content for a wagering game. The method can include presenting, on a autostereoscopic display device of the gaming system, the wagering game content in two-dimensional form without stereoscopic depth. The method can also include detecting a game condition of the wagering game other than a location of a player of the wagering game. The method can also include determining a degree of stereoscopic three-dimensional depth based on the game condition. The method can also include presenting, via the autostereoscopic display device of the gaming system, the wagering game content with the degree of stereoscopic three-dimensional depth.

Integrating three-dimensional elements into gaming environments

This document describes techniques for processing graphics in wagering game systems. Some embodiments of the inventive subject matter use stereoscopic 3-D graphics and 2-D graphics to present composite images including multiple views of a virtual 3-D wagering game environment. Such embodiments present the composite images on stereoscopic 3-D devices.

Wagering game system with stereoscopic 3-D graphics

A wagering game system and its operations can include presenting wagering game content for a casino wagering game to have a two-dimensional appearance via an autostereoscopic display device. The operations can further include detecting an indication to change a presentation of the two-dimensional appearance without stereoscopic depth to have a stereoscopic three-dimensional appearance having stereoscopic depth. The operations can further include detecting a game condition for the casino wagering game, determining a degree of stereoscopic three-dimensional depth to use for the wagering game content based on a value for the game condition, and changing the presentation of the two-dimensional appearance to the stereoscopic three-dimensional appearance in response to determining the degree of the stereoscopic three-dimensional depth to use. The operations can further include presenting, via the autostereoscopic display device, the wagering game content with the degree of stereoscopic three-dimensional depth proportional to the value for the game condition.

A wagering game system ('system') and its operations are described herein. In some examples, the operations include electronically determining, via an electronic communication interface of the system, display coordinates associated with first content of a first wagering game application ('first application') for presentation on an electronic display device associated with the system. The first application is independent from a second wagering game application (&#x201c;second application&#x201d;). The operations can further include automatically mapping, via an electronic processing unit of the system, second content for the second application to the display coordinates. The operations can further include, based on the mapping, electronically presenting, via the electronic display device, the second content affixed relative to the first content during concurrent game play of the first application and the second application. The first content indicates a first game outcome independent from a second game outcome indicated by the second content.

Dynamically mapping wagering game content

Some examples described include a system to perform operations that include accessing a user account responsive to communication with a plug-in of a web browser. In some examples, the operations further include providing gaming information associated with the user account. The plug-in is configured to present the gaming information in a graphical-user-interface object of the web browser. The graphical-user-interface object is separate from a main display area of the web browser. In some examples, the operations further include, based on user interaction with the graphical-user-interface object, providing content that is related to the gaming information for presentation via the main display area of the web browser.

Presenting and controlling wagering game play

A gaming system and method for conducting a poker-themed wagering game. A basic wager is accepted to play the poker-themed wagering game via a wager input device. A plurality of symbol-bearing objects are provided to form a user-playable hand on a display. A payoff is awarded based on a non-monetary ranking of the user-playable hand meeting a predetermined criterion via a controller. The opportunity to earn a bonus feature is provided. The bonus feature has an expected value based on the ranking of the user playable hand meeting one of the predetermined criterion.

Poker game system and system with a secondary award feature having an expected value dependent on the ranking of a primary game outcome

Some examples described include a system to perform operations that include detecting, via use of a gaming plug-in, that first content is presented in a main display area of a web browser. The operations can further include, after detecting that the first content is presented, detecting that second content was previously presented via the main display area of the web browser. In some examples, the second content is associated with gaming content. The operations can further include providing, in a graphical-user-interface object of the web browser separate from the main display area of the web browser, information related to the gaming content in response to the detecting that second content was previously presented via the main display area of the browser.

In some embodiments, the operations can include detecting a first indication to toggle a presentation of wagering game content from a two-dimensional mode to a three-dimensional mode and toggling the three-dimensional mode in response to detecting the first indication. In some embodiments, the operations can further include automatically toggling the presentation of the wagering game content back to the two-dimensional mode in response to detecting a second indication. In some embodiments, the operations can further include detecting a condition that specifies a degree of three-dimensional presentation to enable for the three-dimensional mode and presenting the wagering game content with the degree of three-dimensional presentation. In some embodiments, the operations can further include detecting a change to the condition and automatically adjusting the degree of the three-dimensional presentation based on the change to the condition.

A wagering game system and its operations are described herein. In some embodiments, the operations can include detecting wagering game activity that occurs prior to an end of a wagering game contest. The operations can further include computing an expected value of an award for the wagering game contest based on the wagering game activity. The operations can further include funding the award for the wagering game contest from a source of money other than from game wagers made during the wagering game contest, wherein a value for the award is equivalent to the expected value.

Configuring and controlling gaming contests

A wagering game system and its operations are described herein. In some embodiments, the operations can include presenting primary wagering game content, during a wagering game session, in an area of a display assigned to a primary wagering game application. The operations can further include detecting player input that indicates activation of a secondary wagering game application during the wagering game session and superimposing a portion of the secondary wagering game content over the primary wagering game content in the first area of the display in response to the player input. The operations can further include generating an outcome value for a playing turn of the secondary wagering game application in response to the player input, and presenting the outcome value for the secondary wagering game application via the portion of the secondary wagering game content.

Dynamically overlaying wagering game content

Some examples described include a system to perform operations that include detecting a request to present a wagering game via a browser application and providing wagering game content for the wagering game, wherein a wagering game toolbar of the browser application is configured to present the wagering game content. In some examples, the operations further include providing a wagering game result for the wagering game, wherein the wagering game toolbar is configured to present the wagering game result.

Described are one or more embodiments that include a browser application ('browser') with a first part (e.g., a toolbar, a dropdown, a pop-up, a widget, etc.) that presents first content associated with one or more wagering games and a second part (e.g., a main content display area) that concurrently presents second content independently from presentation of the first content in the first part of the browser. In some embodiments, the first content and second content are from separate content providers. Some embodiments are directed to determining, based on concurrent presentation of the first content and the second content, that one or more awards are available from a first of the content providers conditional upon performance of one or more activities indicated by a second of the content providers, and the browser application presents one or more indicators to indicate the one or more awards and/or the one or more activities.

Presenting and controlling wagering game marketing information

Described are one or more embodiments that include a browser application ('browser') with multiple parts. A first part of the browser (e.g., a toolbar, a dropdown, a pop-up, a widget, etc.) presents first content associated with one or more wagering games. Concurrently a second part of the browser (e.g., a main content display area) presents second content independently from presentation of the first content in the first part of the browser. In some embodiments, the first content and second content are from separate content providers with a marketing relationship. In some embodiments, in response to concurrent presentation of the first and second content, the browser application detects the marketing relationship between the content providers and presents one or more indicators. The one or more indicators indicate the marketing relationship. For example, the indicators can indicate cross-marketing, available coupons, and/or awards available via the first or second content.

A wagering game system and its operations are described herein. In some embodiments, the operations can include determining a number of distinct channels of images associated with 3D wagering game content to present sequentially in a common display of the wagering game system during a corresponding number of sequential time slots based, at least in part, on a number of active shutter 3D glasses of the wagering game system that have been initiated. The operations can also include transmitting a synchronization signal to the active shutter 3D glasses to synchronize lens film activation operations with the presentation of the distinct channels of images in the common display. The operations can further include sequentially presenting the distinct channels of images associated with the 3D wagering game content in the common display during the corresponding number of sequential time slots according to a timing of the synchronization signal.
