Client devices having deployed an application may experience a crash of the application. For example, a first client device may experience a first crash having a first crash signature of the application. After experiencing the first crash, a first device identification of the first client device may be assigned to a first bucket designating one or more device identifications of client devices having experienced the first crash. Client devices having device identifications in the first bucket are provided with a first crash fix for the first crash, while a second client device is not provide with the first crash fix, where the application is deployed on the second client device and the second client device was not assigned to the first bucket.

One or more messages may be selected and grouped and one or more group-level actions may be initiated for the group, such that the group-level action is performed on each message in the group. Each message in a group shares the at least one attribute value. A messaging user interface may comprise a listing of the set of messages and a message group display portion that displays one or more message groups and a group-level toolbar comprising a selectable indicator for each group-level action. A message, or messages, shown in a message list portion of the user interface may be selected from the message list based on similarity of the message(s) to previously selected messages, and the selected message(s) may be grouping based on shared attribute values. The messages belonging to a group may be modified in the same way via a single action taken on the group.

Methods and apparatus for extracting information from an electronic document, such as, for example, a webpage. An outline, such as, for example, the document object model, of a web page is analyzed for objects of interest, such as, photos, dates, email addresses, etc. The instructions defining which objects are objects of interests can be predetermined by the user and/or the network content provider. The user can be given the option to save objects of interest to their network account and the webpage and/or browser can be augmented with additional content related to identified objects. Objects transmitted to the network content provider are saved with an appropriate network service, for example, photos are saved in an online photo album.

Method and apparatus for facilitating message selection and organization with group-level actions

A method is described for activating an application without specific positioning of a mouse or clicking a mouse button ('zero-click activation'). This is done by evaluating motion of an input device with regard to predetermined criteria; detecting a rapid, multi-directional motion (a shaking motion) of the input device, and initiating a preconfigured application in response thereto. In an embodiment, the input device is a mouse, and the method is performed without actuating a button on the mouse. The preconfigured application may be a search function, and in particular may be a Web search invoked when a shaking action is detected while the user is viewing a Web site.
