A system, apparatus, and method for determining a velocity. A voltage is detected for a planar sensor array while the planar sensor array is moving though a magnetic field, wherein the planar sensor array comprises conductive channels formed in a substrate, wherein the conductive channels are connected in series, and wherein the voltage is generated by the planar sensor array in response to a movement of the planar sensor array through the magnetic field and wherein the voltage is proportional to a velocity of the planar sensor array moving through the magnetic field. The velocity of the planar sensor array is determined using the voltage detected for the conductive channels.

A computer-implemented method for discovering network attack paths is provided. The method includes a computer generating scoring system results based on analysis of vulnerabilities of nodes in a network configuration. The method also includes the computer applying Bayesian probability to the scoring system results and selected qualitative risk attributes wherein output accounts for dependencies between vulnerabilities of the nodes. The method also includes the computer applying a weighted-average algorithm to the output yielding at least one ranking of nodes in order of likelihood of targeting by an external attacker.

System and method for discovering optimal network attack paths

Techniques for transferring data from a first domain to a second domain in a cross-domain environment are presented. The techniques can include accepting computer readable data in the first domain for transfer to the second domain, passing the computer readable data to a first machine learning classifier at the first domain trained with at least malware files publicly identified as malicious, passing the computer readable data to a second machine learning classifier at the first domain trained with at least malware files specific to the first domain, and transferring the computer readable data to a destination in the second domain.

Machine learning data filtering in a cross-domain environment

A system and method is provided for a cryptographic primitive and authentication protocol comprised of micro-cavity resonators at optical wavelengths. A micro-cavity resonator is illuminated with an optical challenge signal and the cavity returns an output response that is dependent on the input signal. Digital signal processing is performed on the output signal to generate a corresponding digital representation. This process is repeated for variations of the input signal with its digital output being stored in a database. A user or object claiming an identity presents a token to the system. The system selects a subset of the available challenge-response pairs and presents the challenges to the token. The system compares the digitized responses with the original responses expected for that token. The system will approve or deny the claimed identity corresponding to the presented token.

System and method for physical one-way function authentication via chaotic integrated photonic resonators

A system is provided for converting fluid motion into electrical power, with the system being deployable in a body of fluid. The system includes a support structure and a movable structure connected to the support structure. The support structure includes a generator assembly configured to convert mechanical energy to electrical energy and provide electric power from the electrical energy. The movable structure has three or more degrees of freedom, and is configured to generate mechanical energy for conversion by the generator assembly during a power generation phase of a power cycle in which the fluid motion acts on the movable structure. The movable structure has a first configuration during the power generation phase and a second, different configuration during a recovery phase of the power cycle, with the movable structure in the first configuration having a greater surface area normal to the flow of fluid.

Systems, methods, and apparatus of tracking user information dissemination are disclosed herein. In one or more embodiments, the disclosed method involves matching, by a processor(s), a first service provider(s) to an address(es) (e.g., an email address and/or a postal address) related to a user(s) and/or personal identifiable information (PII) related to the user(s). The method further involves aggregating, by a processor(s), the number of times a second service provider(s) utilizes the address(es) to mail the user(s) and/or sends at least a portion of the PII to the user(s) and/or to another user(s). Further, the method involves generating, by the processor(s), a ranking of trustworthiness for the first service provider(s) based on the number of times all of the second service provider(s) utilizes the address(es) to mail the user(s) and/or sends at least a portion of the PII to the user(s) and/or to another user(s).

A cyber-security monitoring (CSM) computer device for responding to cybersecurity threats is provided. The CSM computer device includes a processor in communication with a memory. The processor is configured to monitor a virtual network including plurality of virtual machines, detect a cybersecurity threat to a first virtual machine of the plurality of virtual machines, generate a second virtual machine based on the first virtual machine, adjust the second virtual machine based on the cybersecurity threat, disconnect the first virtual machine from the virtual network to prevent communication between the first virtual machine and the plurality of virtual machines included in the virtual network, and connect the second virtual machine to the virtual network.

Methods and systems for use in architecture-centric threat modeling are described. One example system includes a display device, a memory device for storing a plurality of attributes for each of a plurality of network objects, and a processor communicatively coupled to the memory device. The processor is programmed to receive a user selection of at least a first network object and a second network object from the plurality of network objects; create a network architecture including the first network object and the second network object; associate the stored plurality of attributes with the selected network objects in the network architecture; display, on the display device, a graphical representation of the created network architecture; receive, from the user, at least one dataflow attribute associated with at least one of the first and second network objects; and store the at least one dataflow attribute to said memory device as an attribute of at least one of the plurality of network objects.

Methods and systems for architecture-centric threat modeling, analysis and visualization

An optical ring resonator sensor array module for a passive SONAR system. The module includes a supporting structure; a silicon substrate mounted on the supporting structure, and a top plate mounted over the silicon structure. The silicon substrate includes an optical waveguide having an input and an output and a plurality of optical ring resonators distributed across the silicon substrate to form a two-dimensional pattern. Each optical ring resonator is positioned adjacent to the optical waveguide and each has a different predetermined diameter. The top plate includes a plurality of diaphragms, one for each of the plurality of optical ring resonators. The diaphragms are distributed on the top plate such that each of the plurality of diaphragms is positioned over an associated one of the plurality of optical ring resonators. In addition, each of the diaphragms is configured to flex in response to externally applied acoustical pressure.

A particular method includes initiating, at an analyzer, execution of a software component at a first computing device. The first computing device includes hardware components and sensors. The sensors are external to the hardware components. A first hardware component of the hardware components is coupled to a second hardware component of the hardware components. A first sensor of the sensors is configured to monitor communications between the first hardware component and the second hardware component. The method also includes receiving monitoring data, from the first sensor, regarding a communication between the first hardware component and the second hardware component. The classification signature is associated with a security classification for the data. Methods and systems for use in in analyzing cyber-security threats for an aircraft are described herein. One example method includes generating an interconnection graph for a plurality of interconnected aircraft systems. The interconnection graph includes a plurality of nodes and a plurality of links. The method also includes defining a cost function for a cyber-security threat to traverse each link and defining a requirements function for a cyber-security threat to exploit each node. The method further includes generating a set of threat traversal graphs for each cyber-security threat of a plurality of cyber-security threats.
