Provided is a dead front cable terminal comprising a cable assembly and connector device in which the cable insulation shield and cable metallic ground of the cable assembly are electrically isolated from the portion of the outer semi-conductive layer of the connecting device that forms part of a chamber in which at least a portion of the cable assembly is located. The terminal is suitable for cross bonding.

An electrical connector includes a first jaw having a first set of insulation-piercing elements and a second jaw having a second set of insulation-piercing elements. The first and second sets of insulation-piercing elements are arranged such that at least one row of insulation-piercing elements from the first set of insulation-piercing elements is able to intermesh with at least one row of insulation-piercing elements from the second set of insulation-piercing elements when the first and second jaws are moved towards one another along a z-coordinate.

A clamping member is provided for making electrical connection with the end of the cable. A connector module includes a conductive body configured to receive an end of at least one cable. A clamping member is provided for clamping the end of the cable against an interior wall of the body. A female electrical bus portion extends into a side of the body and is configured to receive a male bus portion of a mating connector module.
