Actions determined with respect to primary content displayed on a computing device can be used to select and/or filter supplemental content to be displayed on that computing device, enabling near real time filtering decisions to be made that are device- or user-specific. Actions can relate to gaze positions, voice discussions, object selection, and the like. If an object of interest can be determined based on the actions, supplemental content such as chat messages can be selected that relate to the object. For example, if it is determined that the gaze position for a display of primary content corresponds to coordinates where a representation of a pair of shoes is displayed, messages relating to those shoes may be selected for display where messages for other topics might not be selected in order to manage the number of messages displayed on the computing device.

Action-based content filtering

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for dividing and merging online content sharing environments such as, for example, online chat rooms. An online content sharing environment may have a group of user profiles associated therewith, some subgroup of which may be exchanging message content within the online content sharing environment at any given time. If an amount of message data traffic being exchanged and/or a number of user profiles exchanging messages exceeds a corresponding threshold value, the online content sharing environment may be divided into two or more sub-environments. Respective sub-groups of user profiles may then be identified based on association criteria and associated with the various sub-environments. Conversely, multiple online content sharing environments may be merged into a single content sharing environment if a combined amount of message content being exchanged and/or a combined number of user profiles exchanging messages meets or falls below a corresponding threshold value.

Reallocating users in content sharing environments

An order setup module receives a plurality of gift rules from a first person. A gift order is generated that includes the gift rules. The gift order is associated with credentials for use by a second person to complete the gift order. A selected product and the credentials are received from the second person. A determination is made whether the selected product satisfies the gift rules. The selected product is used to complete the gift order in response to determining that the selected product satisfies the gift rules.

Gift ordering subject to rules defined by a gift giver

A voice gesture is determined from characteristics of an audio signal based on sound uttered by a user. The voice gesture may represent a command or parameters or a command, and may be context sensitive. Upon determining a command and parameters of the command based on the received voice gesture, the command is executed in accordance with the determined parameters. The command may modify any number of attributes within an environment including, but limited to, an image projected within the environment.
