An electrically insulating housing including a mechanical interface, the mechanical interface configured to mechanically connect the electrical connector to or disconnect the electrical connector from a bushing of an external device; an electrical system including: an electrical conductor; and a switching apparatus in an interior of the insulating housing; and a control system configured to control current flow in the electrical conductor by controlling a state of the switching apparatus.

A resistor assembly can include a resistor having a first end and a second end, and a conductive member, where the conductive member is coupled to the first end of the resistor. The resistor assembly can also include a shield cup and a housing, where the housing includes at least one housing wall having at least one aperture, and where the housing encloses at least a portion of the resistor and at least a portion of the shield cup. A volume of space between the at least one housing wall of the housing and the resistor can be substantially filled with an insulating material and at least the outside of the housing is substantially covered with the insulating material.

Integrated voltage sensor

A visual status indicator for an electrical apparatus is disclosed. The status indicator can be mounted within a lower cover of the electrical apparatus such that various display faces of the indicator are visible through one or more viewing windows of the lower cover. The status indicator can comprise a mounting base with protrusions and at least one wing, wherein the wing comprises at least one display face. At least one swing arm can be attached to the mounting base via the protrusions and the at least one swing arm can comprise at least one display face. The swing arm can be actuated such that either the display face on the wing or the display face on the swing arm is visible through the viewing window to indicate the status of the electrical apparatus.

Modular switchgear insulation device

An insulated switchgear module is disclosed. In one example, the module comprises a vacuum interrupter, current exchange assembly, and end conductors disposed within an insulated housing. The insulated housing further comprises a tank containing an actuator mechanism for actuating the current exchange assembly. An insulating tray within the housing separates the vacuum interrupter from the components in the tank. The insulated tray has a shape that corresponds with the shape of the vacuum interrupter and the shape of the housing.
