A cosmetic cream cleansing composition is provided based on the presence of a silicate, a crosslinked carboxyvinyl polymer, a silicone copolyol sulfosuccinate and a carrier. The composition has a viscosity from about 20,000 to about 500,000 centipoise. The combination of components achieves a product of good viscosity, pleasant skinfeel, rich lather and phase stability.

Cosmetic cream cleanser

A foaming cosmetic product is provided packaged in a non-aerosol mechanical dispenser. The dispenser includes a container for holding a liquid composition, a dispensing head with a housing enclosing a pump mechanism and a screen material in the flow path to convert liquid composition into a foam, and a diptube for delivering liquid from the container to the dispensing head. The cosmetic composition is an opaque creamy, relatively non-viscous fluid, the creamy appearance imparted by a latex with suspended polymer particles compatible with the foaming mechanism.

Self foaming cosmetic product

A cosmetic sea salt scrub is provided which includes sodium sesquicarbonate and an oil. Sodium sesquicarbonate ordinarily is the major salt present and amounts of this salt relative to the oil may range from about 20:1 to about 5:1 by weight. Mineral oil is particularly preferred as the oil phase. Salt scrubs according to this invention are relatively uniform in composition, easily dispensed from a jar and spread uniformly on the skin.

Cosmetic salt scrub product

An adhesive cosmetic strip is provided which includes a flexible water-insoluble substrate, an adhesive composition deposited onto the substrate and an agent interactive with water present in a sufficient quantity to induce a change of temperature of the strip. When applied to the skin, the strip is warmed by a reaction between water and an exothermic or endothermic agent held within the strip. Moisture within the skin or externally applied water penetrates the strip and will react with the agent to cause an increase or decrease in temperature.

A dermal patch is provided which includes a substrate formed of a hydrophobic and hydrophilic fiber mixture, and a hydrogel adhesive deposited onto the substrate. The adhesive contains an alpha or beta hydroxy acid. The patch is applied to skin for treating the signs of aging, especially around areas of the eye.

A self-warming cosmetic composition is provided which delivers skin conditioning agents and is based upon a redox system of iron powder and a catalyst such as charcoal to provide the warmth. The system is activated with moisture and air.

An adhesive cosmetic strip is provided which includes a flexible water-insoluble substrate, an adhesive composition deposited onto the substrate, a liquid crystal thermochromic substance, and an agent interactive with water to ensure a temperature rise of at least 2&deg; C. in the strip. The thermochromic substance may be impregnated into the substrate or dispersed within the adhesive composition. When applied to the skin, the strip is warmed by a reaction between water and an exothermic or endothermic agent held within the strip. Moisture within the skin or externally applied water penetrates the strip and will react with the agent to cause an increase in temperature. Subsequently this increase in temperature will induce a color change in the thermochromic substance.

A cosmetic product is provided for removing keratotic skin plugs. The product includes a flexible non-occlusive substrate sheet onto which a composition containing an anionic or nonionic polymer is deposited. The composition is treated to become dry non-tacky to the touch yet upon being wetted for use the composition again turns tacky and mobile. The method of application involves either directly moistening the product or indirectly moistening by first wetting a consumer's face in an area where the product is applied. Thereafter, water is allowed to evaporate leaving a film to which the keratotic plugs are bonded. The film is then peeled away concommittingly removing the plugs.

Cosmetic product for removal of keratotic plugs from skin pores

A cosmetic product, particularly for the eye, is provided which includes a container, an absorbent pad with printing on at least one major surface, and a fluid cosmetic composition, the pad and composition being held within the container. The cosmetic composition is primarily water, especially amounts of water in excess of 90%. Most preferred as a substrate for the pad is a non-woven polyester. A cucumber slice design is the most preferred print on the pad. A method is also provided which reduces puffiness, soothes the eye and lessens dark circles around the eye. This method involves applying the aforementioned cosmetic composition via the pad onto the eye and its surrounding area.

Moistened cosmetic eye treatment fads

A cosmetic product is provided for removing keratotic skin plugs. The product is a strip sealed for storage having from 0.0001 to 2% fragrance within the atmosphere of the sealed pouch. The strip includes a flexible substrate sheet onto which a composition containing an adhesive polymer is deposited. Fragrance is immediately available upon opening the pouch. Since fragrance is invested on outer surfaces of the strip, a user can immediately smell the scent upon the application of the strip to the nose or other facial areas. There is no longer dependence for release of fragrance held within the adhesive polymer composition.

A cosmetic product is provided for removing keratotic skin plugs. The product is a strip sealed for storage having 2 to 12% moisture within a pouch. The strip includes a flexible substrate sheet onto which a composition containing an adhesive polymer is deposited. The composition is treated to become dry non-tacky to the touch yet upon being wetted for use the composition again turns tacky and mobile. The method of application involves either directly moistening the product or indirectly moistening by first wetting a consumer's face in an area where the product is applied. Thereafter, water is allowed to evaporate leaving a film to which the keratotic plugs are bonded. The film is then peeled away concommittingly removing the plugs.

A cosmetic product is provided for delivery of skin actives through adhesive strips which concurrently remove keratotic plugs from skin pores. The product is a strip including a flexible substrate sheet onto which a composition containing an adhesive polymer is deposited. The composition is essentially a polymer of anionic, cationic, nonionic, amphoteric or zwitterionic variety which increases in tackiness upon being wetted, with wetting occurring just prior to application onto the skin thereby enhancing the composition's adhesivity. Skin agents delivered through the adhesive strip include vitamins, herbal extracts, alpha- and beta-hydroxycarboxylic acids, ceramides, anti-inflammatories, antimicrobials, vasoconstrictors, zinc salts and mixtures thereof. The strips are sealably enclosed within a pouch for purposes of moisture protection.

Delivery of skin benefit agents via adhesive strips

A self-tanning cosmetic product is provided for imparting a natural-appearing tan to skin. Besides the self-tanning agent, compositions of this invention will include a crosslinked non-emulsifying siloxane elastomer and a volatile siloxane.
