The present disclosure provides water soluble laundry detergent products comprising one or more non-fibrous sheets and at least one solid layer, wherein the at least one solid layer comprises a gel and a solidifying agent and is coated on one or more sides of the one or more non-fibrous sheets, is disposed between two or more of the non-fibrous sheets, or a combination thereof; and methods of their making and using.

A liquid fabric treatment composition suitable for encapsulation in a unit dose pack contains from about 3% by weight to about 8% by weight of an alcohol ethoxylate, from about 10% by weight to about 70% by weight of an encapsulated fragrance slurry; from about 0.5% by weight to about 5% by weight of a rheology modifier; from about 0.1% by weight to about 3% by weight of a pH adjusting agent; and from about to about 5% by weight to about 60% by weight of non-aqueous solvent. The liquid composition is stable at elevated temperatures and has a lower yield stress and a lower storage modulus than a composition having no alcohol ethoxylate.

Disclosed is a method for producing a unit-dose capsule which includes optionally forming the first film into the shape of a first cavity, supercooling a first component to a temperature at which the equilibrium state of the first component is a solid or semi-solid, dispensing the first component in a supercooled state into the first cavity, such that the first component gels to form at least one layer of gel adhered to and/or in contact with the first film, forming a second film into the shape of a second cavity, filling the second cavity with a second component, sealing the first film to the second film to form a sealed cavity having at least one chamber containing the first component and the second component. The method may further include wetting and perforating the first film. The unit-dose capsule includes the sealed container and the two components.

Methods of making unit-dose products with supercooling

Unit dose packs and methods of producing and using the same are provided. In accordance with one embodiment, a unit dose pack includes a cover that is non-water soluble, and a wash composition encapsulated within the cover to form the unit dose pack. The wash composition is a solid. The cover is stitched together with a thread to form a pouch around the wash composition, and the thread is water soluble.
