The present disclosure provides a method and system using software and associated equipment to automatically identify two or more preselected anatomical features by examining pixels within images, such as computerized tomography (CT) scanned images, determining appropriate measurements between such identified features based on dimensions and scaling available within the image file, comparing these measurements to normative data, and providing output of the results to a user, such as medical personnel. In at least one embodiment, the system can measure an interval between a first bone and a second bone that may be useful for medical analysis.

Method and system of measuring anatomical features in subcutaneous images to assess risk of injury

The present disclosure provides a method and system using software and associated equipment to automatically identify two or more preselected anatomical features by examining pixels within images, such as computerized tomography (CT) scanned images, determining appropriate measurements between such identified features based on dimensions and scaling available within the image file, comparing these measurements to normative data, and providing output of the results to a user, such as medical personnel. In at least one embodiment, the system can measure an interval between a first anatomical feature and a second anatomical feature that may be useful for medical analysis.

A platform is provided, which platform is adapted to engage a base through a multiplicity of pulley engaging cables. A first end of each cable is attached to a cam follower assembly located on the base and a second portion of the cable is attached to the platform. A motor driving the multiplicity of cams, cam followers, and cables will move the platform, the platform typically being suspended above the base on the cables or the cables and compression springs.

Six-degree-of-freedom cam-controlled support platform

In at least one embodiment, system can measure the basion-dens interval (BDI), which has been shown to be an effective indicator of ligament injury within the occipito-cervical complex ('OCC') that may not present with other symptoms, is not revealed with standard CT imaging, and is of mortal danger to the patient if untreated. The system can automate interpreting CT scanned images and alert medical personnel about the risk of OCC ligament damage.

An exercise machine which includes a frame which is connected to a series of pivotable links. A user sits on one of the links and applies force, typically with his legs, to a drive link. At least two of the links are connected by some form of resistance, such as hydraulic cylinder. When the user presses against one of the links, resistance is applied, through the links, by the weight of the user and the hydraulic cylinder.

Multi-link exercise machine

An exercise machine including a frame and a drive arm pivotedly engaged to the frame, for example, on an upright thereof. A cylinder is mounted at one point to the frame and, at a removed end of a plunger, has links or rod members to engage the removed end of the plunger to the frame and also to the drive arm.

Variable resistance flexion and extension excercise machine

An exercise machine, more specifically, an abdominal exercise machine. The abdominal exercise machine consists of a frame upon which the user sits, the frame having a support arm tilted backward from vertical with the lower lumbar region against a seat member. Pivotally attached to the frame is an upper seat rest assembly that has a pair of handles and a pad designed to lay against the upper back of the user. The seat back assembly moves with the upper body of the user, the hands of the user assisting in maintaining the upper seat back member against the upper back, while the user moves from a tilted back position to a crunch position, and simulating a traditional sit-up movement.
