A pass through grid connector clip for a suspended ceiling. The grid connector clip is made of two identical halves connected back-to-back by a fastener passing through a first aperture of both identical halves or other joining method. The identical halves each have a web with a first side and an opposite second side defining a height; a third side and an opposite fourth side defining a length; a louver element closer to a fourth side than the third side; a half sleeve located between the clip and the louver element and extending from the first side to the second side the in a substantially semi-circular shape; the first aperture located between the half sleeve and the clip or the half sleeve and the louver element. The halves include a clip connected to the third side and two flanges projecting in substantially the same direction from opposite sides of the web. As a result, when the halves are joined back-to-back they form a pass through sleeve.

Suspended ceiling pass through grid connector

A straight beam made for use in a suspended horizontal drywall ceiling. The beam is modified so that it can be bent in multiple directions to multiple predetermined angles. The beam has a web connecting two top flanges to two bottom flanges. A notch in the web extends through either the top or bottom flanges dividing the beam into a first side and a second side. The first side and the second side may each contain a pocket angled away from an outward face of the web forming a cutout having a locking edge and optionally a protuberance projecting out in the same direction as the pocket. Furthermore, the first side and the second side may optionally each contain an indentation projecting outward from the web in a direction opposite the spring pocket. As a result, when the beam is bent to the desired predetermined angle the locking edge or indentation may engage with the protuberance locking the angle in place. A soffit may then be constructed with drywall hung therefrom.

Beam

A hub for lighting at a grid intersection. The hub includes a light enclosure, light fixture, yoke, clip adapter, and beams. The enclosure includes connected walls each having a central offset portion with a connecting slot and multiple fixture slots. The yoke includes a middle section, two side sections, and two connector sections having protrusions. The yoke is attached to the enclosure by passing the connector sections through the connecting slots in opposite walls of the enclosure. Clips are inserted into the connecting slots that do not contain the yoke. The clips include arms extended therefrom and have protrusions. Beams with end adapters having holes are then connected to the enclosure by engaging the protrusions on the yoke and clips with the holes on the clip adapters. A light fixture can then be attached with fasteners passing through the fixture and slots in the fixture. Optionally a driver can be attached to the fixture.

Hub for lighting at grid intersection

An indirect light cove system including an edge piece, a ceiling beam connector, a ceiling beam with a web and flanges, and a lighting module. The edge piece includes an end bar, upper and lower lateral arms attached to the end bar, beam connection hooks between the upper and lower lateral arms, and one or more key protrusions on an upper face of the upper lateral arm. The ceiling beam connector includes a rectangular channel portion having top and bottom surfaces in contact with the beam connection hooks, and a beam portion joined to the channel portion. The ceiling beam is joined to the beam portion of the ceiling beam connector by fastening elements inserted through screw holes in the beam portion and the web. The flanges rest on the lower lateral arm of the edge piece. The lighting module includes a key recess which conforms to the key protrusions.

Indirect light cove

A lighting cove apparatus including a lighting cove and a lighting module. The lighting cove includes a horizontal arm and a first and a second vertical leg attached to opposite ends of the horizontal arm. The first vertical leg and the second vertical leg each include a shoulder on an inside face. The lighting module includes a body and a plurality of retractable latches having downward facing points which retract into the body. When the lighting module is inserted into the lighting cove between the first vertical leg and the second vertical leg, the shoulders on the first vertical leg and the second vertical leg press on the retractable latches such that the retractable latches retract and the lighting module can pass the shoulders. When the lighting module passes the shoulders the retractable latches re-extend and prevent the lighting module from being removed from the lighting cove.

Light cove for perimeter of suspended ceiling

A ceiling system in one embodiment includes first grid support members arranged in parallel spaced apart relationship. A pair of elongated lighting support members is arranged in parallel with the first grid support members. The lighting support members are spaced apart and define an axially elongated lighting opening. A lighting spacer bracket is connected between and supports the lighting support members from an overhead building support structure. In one embodiment, the bracket is configured to define a downwardly open cavity for at least partially receiving a lighting module therein. A lighting module is positioned in the lighting opening and supported by the lighting support members. In one embodiment, the lighting module may be a digital linear lighting module.

Ceiling system

A saddle connector, having an inverted channel, engages a bulb of a beam in the grid of a suspended ceiling. The channel has hardened teeth staggered along the opposing walls of the channel. The teeth are forced into the bulb of the beam, one at a time, by the full force exerted by hand operated pliers.

Beam clip with teeth

An adapter for securing a cross beam to a main beam in a suspended ceiling. The adapter includes a first leg having a ramp portion on a top edge of the first leg and a hook portion on a bottom edge of the first leg, a second leg attached to the first leg on a first side of the first leg. The second leg includes a larger portion which extends above the first leg to a second side of the first leg.

Suspended ceiling grid adapter

A system for supporting loads from a support structure. The load is supported with threaded rods that are connected from above and below a suspended ceiling of roll-formed sheet metal beams. Clips on the rods connected to the beams pass the load through the suspended ceiling grid without bending or twisting the grid, so that the suspended ceiling remains level, balanced, and intact above the suspended load.

Hanging load support

A grid framework including a conductive support grid member having uncontrolled conductivity and including an I-shaped bulb having a top portion, a bottom portion, and a central portion which is narrower than the top portion and the bottom portion; a first conductor disposed on a first side of the I-shaped bulb, the conductivity of the first conductor being controllable; a second conductor disposed on a second side of the I-shaped bulb opposite the first side, the conductivity of the second conductor being controllable, and a non-conductive insulative layer applied to the I-shaped bulb of the conductive support grid member which fully covers the top portion of the I-shaped bulb, the non-conductive insulative layer interposing the I-shaped bulb of the conductive grid support member and the first conductor and interposing the I-shaped bulb of the conductive grid support member and the second conductor.
